I like Rits, they are a felxible support class in that they can deal considerable damage with spirts and channeling magic, while also being relitivly effective healers. I'm currently looking at Restoration magic and I have a few builds in the back of my head, and I was wondering if I could get some feed back on them.

10 - Channeling Magic

10 - Spawing Power

Question: Why is your spawning so high? You have no linked skills to it and only 1 spirit. imho, you should just cut down on it and up restoration and channeling.

Max Restoration, max Channeling is all you need. Spawning's not required...Life only lasts 20 seconds, so it's not like it needs the extra health Spawning Power inherently gives it.

Get rid of Generous was Tsungrai and take Protective was Kaolai

Get rid of Ghostmirror Light in favour of a weapon spell like Weapon of Warding, or Resilient Weapon.

Though I like [wiki]Pure Was Li Ming[/wiki], instead of Kaolai better.

Also perhaps soothing could be replaced by [skill=text]Weapon of Shadow[/skill].

Yea you don't need Soothing Memories when you have Offering of Spirit.

Ehh, I'd go with Kaolai over Ming... Heal Party > Widespread Condi rip.
As well as Weapon of Warding over ghostmirror...

You don't need that many heals, and high Channeling without Splinter/Rage is a waste. Also, Warding>Shadow.

The main thing is, I am going for a pure healing Rit, rather than a damage buff rit. I know splinter and rage are both efective, but I'd rather use more healing spells than anything.

You don't need more than MB&S and Spirit Light though. All healing skills do pretty much the same thing, so it's a waste of a skill slot taking more than the best two.

spamming spirit light and mbas on recharge is enough heal. Use other slots for damage =)
depending on the situation/your preference you are more using the channeling or the resto skills

oos holy veil warmonger/splinter spirit light mbas bloodsong ancestors res

^^ez mode in ra/ta/pretty much anywhere

life/any resto spirit is absolute shit compared to bloodsong, which is essentially the best spirit by far.

I believe this is for PvE, in which case Splinter+Life>Warmonger's+Bloodsong.

It is for PvE, but i have found it works well in other situations as well. It works well at Fort Aspenwood, decent in Alliance battles, and is fariyl good in RA. I've tested it before, just never posted it before.

You could put [skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill] and [skill]Vengeful Weapon[/skill] in there as some pseudo protection.

It's kind of a waste to spec into Channeling for only one skill.

You can of course also take Vampirism. I just can only repeat, if you focus on Channeling and the many weapon spells and Ancestor's Rage/Spirit Rift, you probably contribute more than if you do a half-healing job or a full ritualist healer, where I would prefer a Necro/Rit actually.

This is my generic PVE Hybrid build:

My attribute distribution is either resto 16 or chan 16. But I can always dynamically choose which attribute to max AS NEEDED while out in quest or mission simply by switching headgear and handgear.

Perhaps, only recuperation and FoMF are replace from time to time.

Hope this gives the OP another idea and tweak it according to his style.

I replace [skill=text]Weapon of Shadow[/skill] with [skill=text]Ghostmirror Light[/skill] for no obvious reason sometimes.

I used to take [skill=text]Death Pact Signet[/skill] But it's no good to have a healer lying down on the job when allies are dying.
