As above but when I swap back to single channel mode , everything works fine
BTW my ram is 4x256 , so if i use single channel mode , I have to take out 2x256
any advice ?

Maybe that one stick of RAM you pulled out is dead, or just the slot.

try reducing the RAM speed and timings in BIOS and see whether it still crashes with 4x256

An issue with the board and ram compatability with the bios could be the problem. Remove 2 sticks and run 512 in dual channel and see if it runs. If it doesn't swap the sticks over with the other 2 and try again. I'm thinking it will run fine in dual channel with 2 sticks but not 4.

You may be able to force it to single channel mode in the BIOS.
