What doesn't drop Inscribable?

I'm pretty sure that not all weapons skins can drop inscribable(ex. Plagueborn Weapons). I'm just wondering which others don't. If anyone would like to help me out, i'm sure it would help others too! -Naga Slicer

To my knowledge the only inscirbable weapons can be obtained from Nightfall, Hall of Heroes in PvP, Urgoz Warren (Elite Kurzick area), and the Deep (Elite luxon area). So your example of Plagueborn wouldn't be inscribable beacuase it would never be obtained in those places.

inscribable weapons are also obtained in EOTN

Pretty much anything dropped in Tyria & Cantha (excluding The Deep & Urgoz Warden)

I'm pretty sure the Zaishen Chest drops almost anything inscribable

Zaishen, FoW, UW, Urgoz, Deep (and HoH?) chests drop just about any item in game inscribeable.

So an outcast shield as example could drop inscribable from the Z chest or faction elite mission chest as inscribable?

Yes. Although certain stuff drops more frequently in the elite missions (zodiac weapons, etc) and some are even exclusive to them (pronged fans). So basically, almost everything is now inscribable, although the odds of finding inscribable req 9s for certain skills are still pretty low.

All i can think of off the top of my head is the IDS as the zaishen chest doesn't drop special weapons such as that or tormented items.

I heard that they stopped the drops of certain weapons from the Z-Chest. I don't know why they would do that but who knows? Perhaps they haven't, anyone know for sure?

havent seen any inscript echovalds, gothic defenders, outcast or amber aegis.

Just wondering, I have gotten some drops from Nightfall that are uninscribable... They WERE white, or blue without an inscription. Is it true that an item can only be inscribable if it was dropped with an inscription (in nightfall, EotN, Urgoz, Deep, etc)?

Yes, the item must already have an inscription slot.

Off the top of my head:
Shields: Gothic Defender, Amber Aegis, Ornate Shield, Echovald Shield, Outcast Shield, Plagueborn Shield, Spiked Targe.
Swords: Dusk Blade, Wicked Blade, Plagueborn Sword, Broadsword.
Axe: Plagueborn Axe, Grinning Dragon Axe, Jade Axe, Mammoth Axe, Morning Star Axe, Runic Axe.
Hammer: Jade Hammer, Plagueborn Hammer.
All I can think of for now.
I might be wrong about a couple there, but there are certainly a large amount of Factions skins that don't come in an inscription flavour.

tribal blades, rusty axes, hatchets, amber aegis, swamp clubs dont drop inscribed. not 100% sure on the amber aegis though

Amber Aegis does NOT drop inscription 100% for sure.

Axes: Runic, Mammoth and Grinning can be found insc as I have a runic and a grinning....merched the mammoth axe.
That's All I know.

Any weapon from tyria or cantha that has carried over to nightfall or eotn drops in nf and eotn as inscribible, why the serpent and sephis axes for example r now almost worthless.andthen u have the zaishen chest which is supposed to be able to drop any gold item, so who knows maybe even rare canthan items may drop inscribible one day.

Bladed Shields - never seen an inscribable one
Spiked Targes - drop with inscription slot
Mammoth Axe and Runic Axe - got inscribable versions of those from the Zaishen Chest as well
