Dervish Runners

I recently started a dervish after completing prophecies on my monk, and after reaching LA i found out that i had zero outposts, its quite easy for me to run some places to get em, but i still get in trouble sometimes, ive read some other posts about builds and i almost have the skills i need for it, however what i need to know.

What weapons do you guys wield when running?

I typically use a totem axe (or rajazan's fervor, either one) along with the emboldened crimson carapace shield. It has +60 health while hexed, +3 damage reduction while hexed, and 16 armor. You won't be meeting the requirement for the shield, but you'll still get 8 armor, which is a nice bonus.

As just stated, I also use a totem axe, but I use the "while in a stance" collectors shield. Mostly because with Vow of Silence I shouldn't be getting hexed much and I'm nearly always in a stance. "While enchanted" would also be a good choice. I also carry around a high energy staff with 20% longer enchanting just in case I get myself messed up.

I use a gothic axe with 20% enchant mod and a random un-modded gloom shield. For me, equip when running is about looks not effectiveness :P

+5e 20%ench martial weapon and -2/ench +30hp shield

+53 of enchanting axe. +30 +10 piercing armor shield.
arrows are the only things that really hit me.
