Update Notes Released Same Time As Updates
fowlero
Hey,
I don't think is asking much, it's not a vital addition but i think it would be a very welcome one.
I ask that Anet could please publish the Update notes on the official site/official wiki when the build goes live and you get "There is a new build available...".
Wait times can be up to 30minutes/1hour to find out what they've changed and I personally don't see why, i'd miles prefer them to get the notes done then release the build (if its a time factor) than releasing the build then doing the notes. If anyone knows why this is please say.
It's nothing major but i'd like this, your thoughts?

=> You don't see why? Really? So before the update, do you know what's the update about? Hell no! If you do, that means you hack! Plus things are done in order. Do you want to see update note then 1h later the update come? Hell no!, Do you want to see the update then read the note 1h later? Yes yes, thats what Anet do! Doh. You are asking like can the baby come out before the mother is pregnant! yes you can in the cheated way lmao! This is a non-sense request!

It usually only takes 5 minutes. Surely it'd be nice, but I can wait 5 mins.
Earth
I don't see why you can't be patient like everyone else and wait a few minutes?
fowlero
I don't mind the wait at all, i'm just wondering why the update notes aren't readied at the same time as the update.
It just doesn't make much sense to me.

Ah yes, another "gimme gimme I want easier" thread, hooray
/not signed
I dont even know if this is a sign/not sign thread, but I'm still not signing it anyway, mostly out of spite.

It's not a 'gimme' thread.
It's an "I'm as Impatient as a 12 years old going for the first time to Akihabara" thread.
It's because they make one thing, then if they check it works, they post the updates.
Before the wiki we didn't even got them until much more hours later. Be happy with what you got now.

They do. But when it comes to sotware, it's almost impossible to test something completely until it's on the road and at full speed.
That's why bugs are found even now.
Akihabara is the coolest district in Tokyo, anyone would be excited about it.
I go straight to the Wiki updates myself after seen the message.
But we must be patient, the updates are noted quite fast.

Yes I know he want the update at the same time. But update need to be upload first and running first in order to post the update to official website.
Same as your computer download something. You download it, then your computer begin the report that you have downloaded it. You can not have a record of stuffs you have not downloaded.
Anet works the same. They need to update first, see if it works or not, see if it need to change or compatible or not. Then they write the record of what they update -,-" Easy to understand.
Darkobra
Ok, so explain to me why you didn't say that at the start and spurned out crap about hacking and pregnancy... And I'm sure they have records of what they're going to update long before they actually upload the patch. Some games actually do use that system. Here's a tip! IT'S NOT HAXX!

Namelessbeauty just answered a question i have always had. And made sence in the process of the explination. Ive often wondered why the update notes we not available upon update. It would be nice to know what your getting into with the update before getting back on the game. Sucks big time to go back in the game, join back up with group, go into battle and find out your favorite skill is now crap. This way, with the notes available at time of update, this would not be an issue. Although this issue can be fun to, all the sudden the poor little assassin just cant seem to get the chain off like he was 10 minutes ago. Always good for a laugh. (Nothing personal meant to any assassins out there). But shoot, we have lived with it like it is for this long, and it IS NOT a majopr issue, I say "if its not broke, dont fix it". Keeping it the way it is will keep the laughter up no matter what profession they decide to mess with. (Please not necro, please not necro, please not necro.....or monk).
MithranArkanere
XD, don't worry. I'm pretty sure they can change the effects of the upgrades regarless of you having the incorrect old description.
Just try it next skill upgrade.
You'll se the values changing before updating.

The GW site had the update notes within 5 minutes of the patch release. The GW wiki was updated shortly after (within 10 minutes?) Go take a jog and come back and you'll find the notes
So instead, you find out that your favorite skill is now crap before you sign on? Awesome!

www.gw.gamewikis.com usually has the updates on about 3 minutes after happening, whereas www.guildwars.com usually has about a half hour wait until they are updated.
I'd like to see them a little more timely on the updates.

Perhaps I'm just not that impatient, but whenever I check the official wiki after an update there is a post there about the update.
Maybe different people are responsible for the update and posting about it. Communication between two or more people takes time. If the person that does the update also makes the post (doubt it) pehaps they take a short break in-between. Could be a variety of reasons, but I'm sure not going to get my undies bunched up about it.
