SnowBunny was in the Sins alliance if I am not mistaken, as was I, along with countless others. They wanted to get the most faction, in the fastest possible way...no matter what way that was...
I left that alliance after about 3 or 4 months due to the immaturity of some officers in that alliance...

I bolded something there. Yes they cared how and where you got your faction from. If they suspected someone of botting they would screenshot them and send those screenshots to anet.
