Question about guild leaders

hey. quick question: my friend and i started a guild. how come you can only have 1 guild leader?

That's like saying, how can there only be one president?

Because that is the way it is set up. If you want to share the leadership you can takes turns making each other guild leader.

ok thanks. i just thought maybe you could have an assistant co leader or something.

Why not one of you be an Officer?

If you get a fair number of members you could eventually split and have an alliance of 2 guilds.
Then you would have equal rank

Maybe one for pvp and the other pve or one for farming etc

That's what we did. We started HiDE with 3 guys; one took leader spot since he was the one to have came up with the "idea" after he got kicked (while the other guy and I left), plus we trusted him entirely with the position. He considers me as a "co-leader" and generally takes decision with me, but I trust him so even when I'm not online and he's gotta do something, he knows I'll agree :P. I don't really refer myself to a "co-leader", but more of a "head officer". We also -duh- listen to other officers when it comes to decision taking.

So you might not have the "title" but both can take part in decision-taking processes.

Isn't that what all respected guilds do, I'd rather be in a guild with a leadershipcouncil.

My guild is run by two people. We also live together. I'm leader because I'm online more often, but if that changed, the other guy would lead.

We lead by the whims of our guildies however. What they want, they get, it's their guild and wouldn't be there without them.
