Reporting feature in PvE
The Way Out
I really like the PvP reporting feature (although I know many people don't). I was hoping to see a similar feature in PvE, specifically centered around the following.
Link Spammers
Gold Sellers
Exploiters
Account Sellers
I am getting tired of getting pms by gold sellers or seeing them spam Kaineng and other areas. Or seeing some spam some inappropriate link over and over again or how they are selling their Account for 100k +x ecto.

umm don't you know that there IS that option? it is the same as using it in PvP you simply highlight the person's name and type /report and it gives u a small list of things to report them for, things you actually listed on your thread
/fail for not knowing about this...

And I am tired of the "FREE GOLD GO TO www.example.com AND PAY 17$" which actually defy guild wars' terms of use and copyrightment, therefor they can be brought to court and all the money they earned from that can go to Anet.Did I mention that they sometimes steal your account!??

If you read my original post there were a list of things that I would like to see put there. Before the angry lot of keyboard thugs out there start bashing me, take the time to read the post.

All that is really needed on PvE reporting feature is the "Leeching" part being tickable.

The same as always. Currenlty you have to use 'spam' to report those.
But either they add a EULA breach option, or they explain that the Spamming is also for those cases.

/vote for close, repititive suggestion for a feature that is already in game (you can report gold sellers now).

Basically, the report feature was made so the people in Alliance Battles and Random Arenas would quit crying about leechers/leavers. So far it has worked.
Anet has done nothing against gold sellers/botters/spambots. I don't expect them to do anything in the near future.
I would /sign it, if it wasn't so far fetched.

all those gold sellers must be reported and banned for life.

I die inside when I see how many people continue to whine about about this stuff.... who goes to Kamaden or La to have conversations in all chat? I personally think the whole system of no selling in all is fail -_-

Try typing the whole thing: /report nameof dudeyoureport
You should get a list of offenses OR an error message.
BTW, isn't it amusing to see how many gold sellers/gold buyers there apparently are here at GWGuru? They come out in support of spam every thread.
RavagerOfDreams
hmmm if only ther was a way to report these gold spammers.....o wait
/report spamming zomg ima genius

For the people who can't figure out that selecting the "spam" option (there seems to be many, since there's been several threads about the exact same thing) is the current method fo reporting these problems, I say /signed.
But, there's no need to hold one's breath waiting for A-Net to implement this suggestion (which isn't really neccessary), just select the "SPAM" option, since A-Net knows that that is how most people are reporting gold sellers, account buyers, etc.

I always use the check at "Verbal Abuse" to report goldsellers ect... But maybe "Spamming" is better ??
But if A-Net really wanted to get rid of spammers/scammers/goldsellers - they would make following options available to the
/report command
- Report Goldsellers
- Report buy/sell accounts
- Report Scammers
And if A-Net have online GM - the report should go directly to them - so they can close the account immediatly (goldsellers - and after some investigation buy/sell accounts and scammers)
Its the ONLY way, A-Net really show us that they REALLY will ban those people.. I have seen many (same char names) for weeks - buying accounts - or selling golds - although i have reported them the week before...

Lol I think ANet should make it like this
1. When you type "/report" you have the option clicking on the NAME. Not like retarded type a were name such as "IIII liliIllII." Yes I know you can Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V but still, it's so inconvinient.
2. Then you can report but with 1 more option "Other reasons" - this allow you to custom what you have report (allow like 20-30 char for custom report.)

I am against gold sellers, spammers, and the like, and if there's a particularly annoying one, I'll report it, but overall I just move on and not let it get to me.
If you are a very upright person and want to report every instance, then more power to you, but I wouldn't want reporting such offenders to be too easy, for fear of people reporting others as a form of griefing; in other words, make it too easy and if I say something you don't like, you simply click & report me.
What I would like to see would be an option added where you can refuse whispers from people not on your friends list or in your guild. You can already shut off the global/local chat options, so that takes care of that...
