Well actually Derv healer/Tank;
Anyway, does anybody know if heroes have the intelligence required to use non-default dervish builds?
I have few Dervish skills unlocked, so I can't really do the testing myself yet, I'm just asking so I don't unlock the skills for the build, then to find out it was useless by default.

Earth Prayers 11+1+2
Wind Prayers 11+3
Mysticism 8+1
[skill]Mystic Healing[/skill][skill]Dwayna's Touch[/skill][skill]Arcane Zeal[/skill][skill]Armor of Sanctity[/skill][skill]Veil of Thorns[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Rending Aura[/skill][skill]Restore Life[/skill]

The -105 health is to encourage mobs to aggro this hero instead of others, the survivability is supplemented by Windwalker's Insignas and the team's wards.
For the weapon I'm thinking Hourglass staff, to spamm [skill=text]Mystic Healing[/skill] more, though something with an enchanting mod might be good too.

Hence the need for the earth prayers tanking skills.

The point is a crippler that keeps the ele's safe.
Hence a:
[skill]Armor of Sanctity[/skill][skill]Veil of Thorns[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill]
Tank, I just added the healing, because I thought that would work out better than a scythe user.
Here's the other considerations.

One of the recent updates fixed hero usage of Faithful Intervention, so it's a permanent fixture on the bar.

I prefer running this to a straight healer as it offers a dual support mode for offense and defense. The necro enchants also help with energy management for heal spamming. You're right System_Crush, an Orders build is less useful without physicals, I'll definitely give your healer a try for my squishy toons.

In response to the OP, heroes dont make good tanks. They move about too much and dont know how to maintain agro and cast their skills at the right time without some serious microing, its simply not worth the effort.

This is the D/N build that I use:

[card]Order Of Pain[/card][card]Dark Fury[/card][card]Arcane Zeal[/card][card]Mystic Healing[/card][card]Imbue Health[/card][card]Vow Of Piety[/card][card]Faithful Intervention[/card][card]Featherfoot Grace[/card]

Then set the hero to avoid. Pretty awesome build IMO, even with only 1/2 physical attackers, it still provides healing for the whole team.

An interesting alternative to sab's necro rit. Looks like a winner in making.

The advantage of Sab's N/Rt is condition removal and damage support in addition to healing, so that needs to be a consideration. A Paragon hero running [skill=text]Song of Restoration[/skill] can fulfil the condition removal role, and a D/N orders build becomes more viable becomes of it's healing and physical damage / adrenal support. I run a variant of Racthoh's 2 P + 1 D/N with my Paragon instead of Sab's Necs and it's PvE pwnage, so a Derv healer is definitely viable and has great survivability under pressure.
