Is there anyone out there using this skill [skill]Shield Guardian[/skill]? From what I can tell its like a AoE version of this skill [skill]Reversal of Fortune[/skill].

As anyone found a good use for this? Any Suggestions on where this skill would be best used by a monk? Right now it just seems like the energy cost is too high for it to be useful for me.

its becuz it blocks attacks, it doesnt absorb any damage, just attacks.

nah, the energy is too high imo, and people want the 1/4 second cast of reversal to help against spikes.. another useless skill that they will buff but nobody will ever use it lol

It's definitely the energy cost. Monks have enough of a hassle with energy. If it were 5e then it would be good. Overpowered probably, but at least it would be used.

It's a RoF that costs twice as much and has a 4x longer casting time. The point of RoF was to be a cheap, fast heal for someone taking big damage.

Got buffed, that skill description is wrong No-one noticed or cared because it's too damn expensive to worry about.

The energy cost is the biggest problem, if it was 5 energy it would be awesome as protection against a war/derv/assassin spike, since if you hit their main damage skill they pretty much fail. Shiro'ken with their unlimited energy drive me crazy with spamming it.

[skill]Cultist's Fervor[/skill] + [skill]Shield Guardian[/skill]

A rip tank that doesn't have damage and heals itself. What more could you want?

Shield guardian would be fine as a 5e spell, but increase the recharge to 3s. It still only blocks attacks and not spells like rof does.

I would say recharge to 5 sec..

No it's too dam powerful if 5 energy lmao. You guys......AoE heal for 5 energy? and spamable? Dam its really way too powerful lol. If need just make it last 6 sec and remove the ending crap. Make recharge 15 sec. And reduce the healing effect.

Cost: 10e.
Cast: 1/4 sec
Recharge: 15 sec
For "6" seconds, target ally has a 50% chance to block incoming attacks. "Everytime" target ally blocks an attack, that ally and all "adjacent" allies are healed for 16...30.

its a useful HB skill. although people are scared to use it cuz of energy cost.

It's kinda the only prot skill worth using on minions, other than that I don't think it is very useful.
My MM doesn't use prot utility though, even if he did, I don't like the microing this requires.
