After Prophecies
StormDragonZ
Note: Regardless of anything, I'm noting possible spoilers in regards to the end of Prophecies. So if anyone complains about me ruining Prophecies, then I know you can't read. Either way, if I am or not, I'm still saying this.
I'm just curious... after you beat Prophecies, that's it. Then again, you're able to tackle the Epilogue Quests, but with every other game, you're allowed to have a free green item from trading a certain special item. Prophecies didn't have this at the time since, we all know Prophecies came first in the series, so I am not surprised when I see people say nothing happens after you complete the final mission.
So here's my question: Should anything be done to give the ending of Prophecies something equal to what the other games have, or should things just be left the way they are?

Curse You
"End game" weapons and armour didn't come around until Factions. The Titan quests themselves didn't come around until a few months after Prophecies was released.
Don't expect to get anything added any time soon, they've already stated that they will not make major updates to old chapters, and Prophecies is the oldest.

what do you get? satisfaction.
the last proph mish is great, and it brings shame to faction & NF bosses. :P

Even if the mission was nice the final clipscene was so... I cant even find the words to describe it.
Burning Blade
Prophecies is the only game that I still play as a real game. It's where I actually read quest notes and look at the environment and I still do now whenever I make new char. Other games are just to farm either loot or titles. So end game is not a big advantage of other games compared to Prophecies

***SPOILER WARNING***
I havent finished Faction yet, but compare to NF and GWEN, Prophecy's got a REAL challenging mission at the end game boss.
Abadon goes down in 5 min, a bit more for the Great Destroyer.
Leave Prophecy as it is pls

I don't really favor the idea of endgame greens as a reward, but I'd like to see at least something for beating prophecies rather than a few epilogue quests, even if not a major update.
HawkofStorms
Ummm, green weapons didn't exist when prophecies was first released. That is why they don't have endgame greens.
RedStar
For me, prophecies is the best game of the 3, but the rewards are a little too poor ; the storyline + scenery does compensate, but I'd really like if prophecies had endgame armors (I don't really care for endgame weapons).
Snograt
It is sad watching the gradual demise of GW as GW2 moves further along the path to release. Sad, but that's the way it goes.
It would be nice, however, if they could spare the time to add a little end game content to Prophecies. A nice Epilogue section like all subsequent chapters/expanion have had, with, yes, end-game weapons and armour.
Why not?

Prophecies got Sorrow's Furnace added a few months after it was released. If you check Guild Wars Wiki, you'll note a fairly large selection of green items there. You may want to do a little farming, if a green item is what you're after. Now, I do understand how you can be annoyed that Factions and Nightfall give greens after completing them, but they're not the end-all be-all of items, and the weapon models aren't that spectacular either.
Crom The Pale
Personally I'd rather see them add some big CG scene than add some more greens to the game. Most all of the greens in the game are becoming worthless very fast anyway, not many are over 5K now as it is.
Snograt
Sure, Prophecies got Sorrow's Furnace - in the same way that Factions got Urgoz's and The Deep and Nightfall got DoA.
Not the same thing at all.
I'm just saying that an epilogue would be nice. Endgame weapons and armor would be appreciated by many - sure, there's a lot of people who don't like greens, but then again there are many of us who like such things as collectors items. Wouldn't trade my old Victo's for the world (wouldn't use it either, but that's not the point )

Shadowlance.
I'd say leave Prophecies alone. Also if you're a dedicated fan of the series it's likely you have all three campaigns plus GW:EN. After a fashion, you can kind of consider the GW:EN Droknar weapons to be the "Tyrian" end-game weapons. In other words, each continent now has a respective set of end-game greens.

MithranArkanere
DEFINITELY YES.
They should have added a 'Party at Droknar's Forge' final area.
With a final armor set, a final set of greens (Saidra's Bow, Rurik's Sword, Breknar's Iron Hammer, Titan Hand Axe, Glint's Crystal Caster sets, etc).
Glint's vison giving the quests, King Jallis, the Grenth's Footprint Dwarves asking you to go there, Salma, Evennia, Shadow and the rest of the Shinning Blade telling you that they are heading for the Tarnished coast, the Henchmen, the Lionguard, Ascalonians and Krytans, etc...
And Devona and friends asking you to go with them to Cantha, because Togo is calling Mhenlo.
The area is there... the NPCs are there... the fireworks effects are there...
The only things left are the area scripts, and the armor set, and maybe a couple of skins for the weapons. Although they could just be the ones seen in the cinematics.
The first thing I though when I completed Prophecies was: "Did I copleted prophecies?"
I had to hit M and see the map to check the mission outpost icon.
You get a 'have I finished this?' feel.

Slightly off-tupic, but d'you know what I'd like to see? More oversized weapons like Drago's Flatbow. Buster Swords, that sorta thing.
Always wondered if that Drago's was a graphical error ^_^

This thread is all about greed and nothing to do with anything else; it just comes down to 'gimme more greenz and armor lol!1'
Factions and Nightfall had endgame rewards, but they also had a game mechanic everyone seems to be forgetting: You can't just be run to the last couple of missions! If reward greens or armors were added the Droks run should be blocked and Sanctum Cay locked pending completion of the jungle...
Lady Yuna
Leave it alone. Instead of changing prophices's ending, why not just give everyone a key to a end game chest that allows for a one time access somewhere in prophice? But doing that may up heave more demands from players................
Tender Wolf
They should definately add an end-game green or something other than those stupid quests that are hard and not worth the reward you get. Really, who wants nothing but experience at level 20? Sure it's cool to show off millions of experience, but come on.

beating proph gets u satisfaction... worth alot more than these endgame green which are as valuable as the common weapon crafter.
P.S.
its the story, variety, and difficulty of prophecies that made it a great GW, not the weapons.

Problem imho is not greed - since most people would get #slots greens immediatelly they would be practically worthless, so it would be like giving out what ... 1k? Hardly greed-worthy. Basically hero weapons. Or giveaway-to-newbies weapons.
It would be totally not worth run anyway (why spends several K on runs and about 10 hours of gameplay to get super cheap green.)
Ephidel
Rather than more endgame content, I'd be pleased with something like a monument for completing The Titan Source, and one for beating the final bosses of ToPK. Perhaps a burning titan for the former, and The Darkness for the latter.
It wouldn't be difficult for the art department, either. Just take one of their old models and add that strange metal color they use for the monuments. Better yet, do like some of the other monuments and don't recolor them at all - just throw the already existing model on.
However, if ANet can't fix the problems they have with the HoM already, I don't expect them to add something like this, however simply implemented it would be.

Actually, a few stacks of those would be nice right about now. Alas, I have sunk all my shiny PvE moneyz into shiney PvE wepnz for my (formerly) dull PvP characters.
