how do i acquire an alliance ?

When i bought the game i should have got a book for it (duh) . I just want to know how do i set up an alliance for my guild? And what is guild faction all about?

To get an Alliance you can either advertise on the guilds forums here or simply spam 'looking for alliance' in a major town i.e. kamadan, L.A. , kaineng.

Guild faction you get by taking part in Alliance battles or by faction farming , this enables you if you wish to get enough faction to 'own' an outpost but for this you will need millions of faction
