So this is a completely random thought out of my head, so I apologize to everyone in advance, but.

I was thinking that a lot of members in guilds want to communicate with there Leader or Officers. So, in Guildwars 2 why don't we have a message system?

Player A has been wanting to mail Leader A lately about an idea he wants to try and create with and for his guild/alliance. Leader A is offline and hasn't been on in fifteen hours but knows they will be on in a few hours when Player A is busy. Player A writes a message to Leader A and is delivered via Xulani Mailing (which would cost the guild saidamount of money to obtain a channel in the Xulani Mailing). Player A is able to read said message a few hours later when Leader A is asleep and offline.

Edit: The Mail would be in a beauty scroll form with 'hand written' letters. It would be a nice little item to add if people can choose from Guild-Bought texts that have been hand written and placed into Guildwars World to give it a better feel of realism.

pretty interesting idea... fairly useful for the bigger guilds too. I wouldn't mind using this system, but I doubt it'll be implemented into either GWs.

Too many luxuries like a mailing system would cost Anet too much.

This had better be a part of GW2. WoW has had this system for ever and we have bought the line "cannot be implemented into the current coding" for as long as we can remember, so they had better be working their new current coding around things like this.

I don't see how it couldn't be implemented into Gw2. It'd be an insanely useful tool, help guilds out immensely (such as the larger ones as Dukk placed on the table) and keep people in contact. Which would help in the aiding of keeping members in the guild, rather then people go "This guild doesn't care about me, or do anything. I'm out." as they so often do.

If you do have a large guild, wouldn't it be a cold day in hell when the leader or any officer is not on? If neither the leader, nor any officer is on for a few days, you're guild probably isn't that active.

But anyway, I think a mailing system would be useful for communicating with in-game friends that may not play all the same hours as you. Maybe charge 25 gold per letter or something.

/signed, i guess

BTW: Use the GW2 Ideas thread for GW2 ideas. That's what it is there for. There are a lot more dumb ideas in there than out in the normal threads, but there are still probably people looking at them.

You answered my only response. Not to mention I already had given my reasoning into why I am taking this this way for the moment.

Thank you for agreeing, if you 'guess'.
