nerf SH
Dark Paladin X
I believe that SH needs to be nerfed more. 5 energy, 2 casting time, and 25 second recharge and the effect with damage stacking overtime for each second in effect, that could wipe out the enemy entirely (or worse when playing with H/H wiped your party entirely due to stupid AI). I'm not saying the great damage stacking should go, I think that it's more reasonable if the cost was like 25 energy or increased casting time (the recharge is quite reasonable for a nuking spell).
BTW, SH equals Savannah Heat

It's fine as it is. Flag h/h out of the AoE, it now does 0 damage. If you can't handle it with h/h, play with humans. A skill isn't going to be nerfed because some people find it powerful in PvE.
Mister Me
This skill isn't so powerful it all...plus, it is an elite
HayesA
Or more, you should have our monk use PS, with Healing Seed and Healing Ribbing can counter the damage fairly well. Hit that ele with the Asuran Reversal damage pve-only skill, you don't die, and they die.
Dark Paladin X
apparently, when combined with deep freeze and use SH on foes, these guys would be shredded meat by then.
RavagerOfDreams
booo no leave sh alone it's fine as it is :P
at 15 fire magic this skill does roughly 280 dmg if you stand in it for it's entire length
ranger - heal as one heals for 113~121 thats almost half the damage gone right there and also they have 100AL vrs elemental dmg
Monks- SoR,ZB, WoH
Eles- Mystic Regen should help
Sins- take a back up healer with you like a rit
Rit- Spirit Light, MBaS

all you need to do is run out of AoE...
Dark Paladin X
probelm is that henchies and heroes don't do that (of course I could separate my heroes and henchies out but henchies would cluster together.
Tyla
.....no.

People have won PvE easy before with H/H.
As if PvE isn't easy enough.
Flag out of AoE and it's easy.

Guess what, you can flag your heroes out of AoE! I do it vs. Flameshielders when I see them casting Meteor Shower. They finish the cast, and I flag them away. Bam, no death!
SH is a great elite, and does not need to be changed.

MrGuildBoi
I don't flag my heroes out and they don't die.
mr_groovy
I think it's more related to pvp that he get pwns by it.
No it's not over powered. Just walk out of it, and take hex removal.

Yea, it should be more than 5 energy, maybe 15 max. Or leave it at 5 and cause Exhaustion.

Why are ppl asking for nerfs all of a sudden when most whine about it.I would say if you have problem with the AI using this on you get Melonni and use [skill]Vow of Silence[/skill]this will stop it.

SH is one of the best Fire Elites in the game..
Learn to flag and you'll be fine.

Use the H/H flag. It works. I H/H all the time, and I've yet to have a party wipe from SH. Not even close. SF is more dangerous, IMO. SF is still easy to counter, too.

Bring Ward against Harm, Mantra of Flame, or Elemental Resistance. What damage? Heck with Mantra of Flame I would be running _into_ the aoe.
Operative 14
Move that way (<--) or that way (-->) about 10 feet.
SH is probably the best elite of any profession I have encountered. It is very easy to avoid as the target, but it packs one heck of a punch if you use it wisely as the caster.

Poor AI works both ways. Have your pre-protted tank take aggro without anyone in his circle, then charge in. SH on one person is trivial to prot.
Edit: Damage is done 15 times over full course of SH. 15*20(base damage at level 15 fire) = 300.

anonymous
damage is only done 5 times during SH, at 15 spec it goes 20, 40, 60, 80, 100
RavagerOfDreams
i did say roughly....
but again this skill is not overpowered
bring a hb monk with heal party and most of the damage is gone

You want to balance a skill because a bad hero+hench team gets wrecked by it? Hmm...
MithranArkanere
Nerf an elementalist skill?
Nonsense! Blasphemy!
Ahem...
Savannah Heat is the PvE Mob thrasher par excellence. In PvP, people bring hex and condition removals, thus rendering Savannah Heat not as useful as in PvP.

THIS IS GUILD WARS WHERE NUKES EITHER RIP FOES OR YOU APARTAAAAA!!!!!!!!
And I'm not saying total nerf, I just feel that foes or ppl have unfair advantage over other teams when it comes to SH (particularly those elementals what do call them, look like red earth elementals).
MithranArkanere
Fire elementals?
You can choose. Either daze them or use pain inverter once in them.
They make poof and die.
Maesltrom works nice too.

It's fine as it is IMO, Interrupts and flagging are the key tricks to prevent this, I always take gwen with powerblock nowadays, Heros seem to have good interruption times, nerfing this skill just because you can't beat an area is not a good excuse.

I hate ice imps. 5-8 little lvl 26 bastards using brain freeze and maelstrom really do a number on H/H.
But Savannah Heat? It's nothing. The henches even walk out of the AOE. I wonder if the OP has confused SH with Searing Flames? Burnt Blisterbark and his bodyguards in Nutsack... Sacnoth Valley uses Searing Flames, and he *will* wipe your H/H team unless you prepare for him.

you have 2 options: you can whine and moan about SH or you can learn to play better. we all can see what you chose. here is a big hint, Pain inverter owns aoe casters.
itsvictor
It doesn't need a nerf, I stand in the aoe by running in first, you might want to rethink your team build...
crazybanshee
Why not nerf sandstorm too? Sheesh. SH is only overpowered if you stand there and let it kill you and your henchies.

Don't stand in it. It's not like the skill freezes you in place for the entire duration. I understand there are knockdowns or snares, but if you can't deal with them, then you really need to analyze your tactics.
RhanoctJocosa
naw... there's nothing wrong with it.
pumpkin pie
Do not change what is not broken.
you are suppose to move away from the location if you are hit with savannah Heat.
what will be next? nerf Maelstrom? cos I don't want to move away from the affected area?

in defence of whoever said it, a decent ele isn't just going to sh you when they know you're going to move. choke points, snares and kds make sh pretty strong. even so, i still don't think there's anything wrong with it to warrant a toning down.
MithranArkanere
I just made Forgewight yesterday.

You are low rank do you? lol
Anyway, as a r10 exp player (if you want to count for my r11 acc too), SF is NOT a powerful skill. Why?
1. It is too spamable. Advantage? I don't think so, Diversion, SS or any kind of shutdown spells WILL screw SF up. When you play SF, you have to spike every 4-5 sec in other to pressure the other team. The dmg never have been a clear spike ever. That mean after 5 spikes, if you can not kill, your team is pretty much done due to energy issues / pressure.
2. You NEED the 6 spikers to kill. That mean 2 monks w/ only Aegis as def. Not so good.
3. Calling 3 2 1 spamming the same key in your keyboard only degrade your computer lol.
4. Amour issues. They are ALL eles/Monks. Die Uber fast against physical attack such as Para, Ranger, Warrior lol.
5. There is such thing as Ward Against Harm lol.
