Which Ele Armor Do You Prefer Out Of These 2?

I've been playing GW now for around a year & have all 3 campaigns (minus GW:EN). I've had the same elite armor on my elementalist now the whole time I've been playing & was thinking of getting him something new. The thing is, I'm not sure whether to or not.

At the moment he is wearing Elite Flameforged dyed black as shown below:




I was thinking of getting him Ancient Armor (but dyed black) as shown below:




I'm not sure whether to or not though. I mean, I have the cash but to get a whole set only to walk around & have people think "uuurgh that sucks" is a waste of money. Obviously I'm not out to impress everybody with my armor etc but it's nice to look good. GW is like a mini fashion show haha, and it's cool to suit up your character with decent looking armor

Also, many of you will probably be thinking "well it doesn't really matter what others think, it's your character" but I'd appreciate knowing what you all think about it. Obviously if you don't like EITHER of the armors, please feel free to let me know what you feel is better, thanks a lot.

I have always preferred flameforged dyed black ( have a set myself) I think it looks great....then again I don't really like any of the ele armor from nf

ancient is nice, have it on my own ele. a tip though would be to try other color combinations before dying it all black, it dyes kinda differently from other armors and imo black didn't look too good.

Well, you already have one, so get the other and alternate. You can keep the one with the runes and insignia's it's already got, and set the other up for a different attribute.

Is the question whether to get the new one, which will cause you to scrap the old one? You've already got it, so why scrap it? If you have the cash, get the new set and alternate as the mood takes you.

But Ancient is nice. I've never been a fan of flame-forged myself. It always looked like they were thumbelina sized people who saw someone's old pair of cowboy boots and thought it would be a great idea to make a coat out of them.

Ancient is not bad.
But I would prefer Flameforged. Old school I know, but Prophecies' armor is the best in my opinion.

/agree I went through the entire thing with my elite flameforged dyed red, and I still wear it.

I prefer the black flameforged, but it seems like you already bought the ancient.

Elite Luxon and Ancient are on my list of favorite male ele armors.

My ele wears ancient robes and legs, elite stoneforge gloves and boots, with glasses. This combo looks much better than the full ancient set IMHO. I cant stand the frilly shit on the boots and gloves of ancient armor.

Definitely add the Ancient to your wardrobe. I think it's nice to have several different sets of armor so you always have another change of clothes for when you feel like something different, or in case you want to mix and match things to come up with some more unique styles. With the insignia system on all continents, there's no reason to box yourself into any single style

To be honest, I've never been a fan of the male Elementalist endgame armor. (Have you seen Primeval?) Ancient seems to be pretty popular, but personally I find the "zebra pants" a little too much like PJs...

My personal favorites are Vabbian and 15k Stormforged, as well as 15k Flameforged but you already have that.
