while playing on one of my alternate accounts tonight, after being banned from my main one, i get spam from a bot advertising for a gw gold selling site as soon as i enter shing jea monastery. im now contemplating whats going on in the minds of these anet employees who ban me for 71 hours for doing nothing but cursing in retort, defending myself using curse words against someone who was ripping people off in trade. they ban me for cursing while im playing a game that role plays MURDER and has age restrictions. i see that an account thats spamming the sales of gw gold has been online all day and goes unbanned for something like 8 hours so far. all i have left to say now is, anet RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO you and your punk ass twisted morals of failure

It happens. You got your account back, you can play again. No reason to really complain about it. There is gold selling everywhere. Almost everyone has got one those whispers from a bot seller probably atleast once. Nothing new.

Why did you get banned from your other one? Was that one a temp or perma ban? If it's the latter, you best hope that they don't ban your spare. They're allowed to do that.

EDIT: Bryant , it's in his post why he was banned. Swearing at someone who was scamming in trade.
PS : Anet, wtf is the chat filter even for if you are that worried about swearing.
PPS: The reason that account selling gold wasn't banned is simple. It's Anet's gold selling bot.

If you cannot survive without Guild Wars for a couple of days, maybe you should go to rehab with all those other attention seeking stars. You'd get along just fine.
Oh, and the reason the bots arent banned, is because you have to be in the same district to report someone.

I've never been banned, but I often feel the same way as to their proclaimed inability (and proven apathy) when it comes to banning gold sellers and bots.

It's the principle of it that is infuriating, not the actual ban. Are you seriously saying you can't see how this type of thing is annoying?

You guys are missing the point. He's not mad at losing the character for 3 days, he's mad that others that are also breaking a rule that he considers more severe than what he did aren't getting banned.

You were justly banned, so go cry somewhere else.
And, grasping, your screenshot didn't prove jack. It was a pic of a gold seller spamming you. You cannot report a gold seller if they are not in the same district. That is why they are not banned, because they are often not in the same district. Not that hard a concept.

yes, they need to do something about the gold selling bots, OP using bad language is not the answer either....report is the ONLY thing we can do right now (and if you need to vent swear at the wall or something --the wall wont ban you).....we all find the bots very frustrating.

I have repeatedly reported bots in the same district, only to see them back tomorrow, next week, next month and a year later.
Shouldn't be surprised you're still missing the point though...

The solution, until A-Net comes up with something else, is reporting them the old fashioned way - email support with a SS (you've got the name) and press on. If they DON'T get reported, nothing will change. (That's right, channel all of that energy of anger and frustration into a constructive activitiy that addresses the problem)
And OP - don't think you've been treated unfairly because you got your wrist slapped for breaking the EULA and others haven't. They'll be dealt with soon enough.
