After logging on to my GW account, not too long ago I see the bonus Mission pack going on for 9$. I was about to purchase the extra gameplay, but it seems like they don't take PayPal. I don't own a Credit Card yet.

Can I have a reason why they wont accept it? Or, if they do, I'm just doing it wrong? Because it seems pretty straight foreward. I just want to know why..

Paypal isn't really a bank per se; it's a money transfer service. Even though I do use paypal, I'm sure there are good reasons why it is not included amongst other major financial institutions.

I believe one of the main reasons they decided against paypal was the fees they charge for transferring funds. However, if you have a fully verified paypal account and live in the US, you should be able to get a paypal branded Visa debit card, which will draw funds from your account.

Why is it so hard for people to go to a store, buy a prepaid credit card, and just use that? No long-term obligations, but full functionality for cases sub as this...

The majority are in favour of using PayPal, but only just. There are enough antis to make ANet cautious about going through the trouble and expense of instituting this service.

Paypal is a crappy company - I only use it as a last resort anymore. Amazing it's as huge as it is with so many problems.

many of the 'pre-paid' cards dont work in MANY places....some have tried them with the on-line store and got just as far as they did with paypal. ->0

I posted this for some else, but, you can also download PayPals "virtual debit card". This is a small browser plug-in that creates a one-time use Visa debit card number that takes the money from your PayPal account and your linked bank account, if you don't have sufficient funds.
I know this works, it's how I bought my copy of Eye of the North back when you got the BMP for free.
