W/Rt dead?

I used to use a W/Rt with Vwk to farm UW. I run back to UW farm recently and I can hardly find a W/Rt Vwk farmer there. The temple is dominated by 55/ss or Ele/Me. I go to the solo farming post and I can't even find the build there. Was the build nerfed or just not as profitable as Ele/Me?

yeah my w/rt takes around 20 minutes to solo smites, thats not very fast

W/Rt runs can be done in below 15 minutes easily, it is a very safe and reliable run so i think it's still a good build to use.

It's indeed a great build
It's mainly used by people who don't have an ele (like me) but it's also good to use some variation! ele is faster, warrior is saver.

well ele can do a faster run but also can die faster from aataxe or lag were w/rt can take longer not be affected by lag and take more than 2 hits from an aataxe also u can do a smite run with w/rt hm it was posted here a few weeks ago hard to do but possably

Most common uw solo builds:
E/Me = fast, not as safe as W/rt, decent drop rate (10-12 mins run) (depends on enchants)
Rt/Mo = very fast, harder to use and less safe, good drop rate (8-12 mins run) (depends on enchants)
W/Rt = slow, very safe, good drop rate (12-18 mins run) (does not depend on enchants)
W/Me = faster than W/Rt, not as safe as W/Rt, good drop rate (10-12 mins run) (depends on enchants)
Rt/W = slightly faster than W/Rt, also slightly less safe, same drop rate. (does not depend on enchants)
(edit: basically, the E/Me is the odd one out as it has a worse drop rate than the others, because the E/Me uses mass AoE to kill all enemies at the same time, whereas VwK does not).
Data summary based on personal experience, YMMV

I usedW/Rt when i used to farm the UW. However, as to be expected since "the antifarm code got removed", my drops have dryed up. If i get 1 ecto every 3 runs its a good day.
I managed to get 1 smite run to around 12-13 mins per run, when i first started, i was consistantly getting atleast 1 ecto per run. In my opinion, it has the best ratio of drops:time:"safeness" (i apologise before hand for my incorrect use of the English language there :P)

I use VwK Rt/Me for farming underworld. Runs typically take about 10-15 minutes and have net anywhere from 0 to 7 (only once) ecto per run.

The W/Rt build is by far the easiest to farm smites imo. The ammount of mistakes/bad luck you can get away with when using it is very impressive. I've had the bad fortune to have my VwK interrupted 4 times in a row before now against the graspings and i've still have well over 50% HP when i eventually got one to cast. The build i use is very slightly different to the one you'll find on wiki but that's just because i'm comfortable tweaking things to how i like them.
A full run takes me around the same time as any other W/Rt, 14-18 mins. It's so easy to use, you can almost go afk while doing it and the drops for me have been fine. I could use a couple of ele builds or a rit build but what's the point when the W/Rt already works so well?

The build is still really popular and its the safest solo I have seen :P
I think its the fact that less people are farming ectos because there isnt much money in it anymore. I mean its on really worth running so much anymore I've gone 3 runs and have gotten nothing but crappy drops and no ectos :P

An average run clocks in at about 15-20 minutes, which is pretty slow, but I find the drops are way better than when I did E/Me (linked above). Why, just the other day I got a r9 Fellblade (gold). W/Rt is not dead, but it doesn't get nearly as much attention as it used to, and I'd like to know what other people are doing that must be so much better.

I still use the W/Rt build from time to time. Most times I do the solo smite run, I just use the W/Me build. I find it to be the quickest, easiest, and idiot proof.

i don't think VWK is dead i use it every day normally every day and my ectos drop seem to be quite good i dont even play "Much" (normally 2 hours a day)
and i made 60 ectos on about 2 weeks.
and VWK is safer than any another of the UW build i use, yes it may be a bit slow but It's worth it
and all my guildies seem to use VWK they find it the best
