Can someone tell me if the kourna-vabbi run is still possible and if it is where does it pass. I think it was fixed in an update but saw a runner offering it so...

My guildie actually tried it last night and we couldn't do it. Even after dying they couldn't enter the wurm because I had not learned the wurms yet.
What I don't understand is why close it?
Players get max armor at the docks. Vabbi isnt any better armor just prettier. Yet they will leave open the ferry to the docks where players actually do get max armor before the "proper time"

Thought it involved running off and dieing out of radar range of the runner so then the one player could use the wurm spoor.

I tried this run before Xmas. My friend couldn't use the wurm because I haven't learnt wurm riding yet, even though I ran off and died outside his range (I was greyed out in his party window).

Is it possible for someone to explain why the run from the Sunspear Sanctuary to the Kodash Bazaar involves wurms? I can't figure it out, as I thought you'd go through the Caverns...

The wurm was needed as part of the run went through the Sulfurous Haze thingy. The run (that I knew of) was from, say, Command post/Venta Cemetery -> Gate of Desolation -> Remains of Sahlahja -> Basalt Grotto -> Jennur's Hoarde -> Kodash Bazaar.
