Are they really worth the 100 Glacial Stones needed to obtain them? I'm still deciding if I'll buy them for my Elementalist or not.

Check out someone with a similar character who has them, perhaps request a screenshot...see if you like the overall look...if so then grab'em, if not...no money wasted.

To me they can be fun to wear and zoom in to see. If you look carefully you can actually see through them and see some colors of whatever is behind them, whether it's the background or an object. I didn't notice my character's hands were sort of transparent for a while. If you're a female mesmer, be aware that the gloves will only cover the hands and won't be full sized gauntlets.

I love mine, but I got them back during the preview weekend, when you only needed 40 stones. Took less than half an hour to farm, so even needing 100, it shouldn't take you too long. If you like them, go for it. I think they look great on Ele's.

The going rate is only about 20k for the lot. Otherwise you could farm the Glacial Stones yourself with the E/Me farming build in Farming section.
In my opinion they look best on male Eles with 1k or 15k Iceforged armour.

You like making threads don't you ? Anyway, if you like them, get them, if not - then don't. Plus you could easily farm them on your ele if you didnt want to buy them, go to the farming section, and theres a few builds.

Also, if your into armor clipping issues and gloves that don't match properly with other armors, not to mention grind farming then sure, go get yourself some glacial gauntlets.

That said, I'm not a big fan of these individual armor pieces. The one nasty looking universal mask is cool, though. Nonetheless, if you want it, go for it.
