Anyways... vanquishing as a special weekend would be nice if you could go with more people, and have fun around. Since there are... how much areas? 121?

What we need is a 'Area of the day' that you get much more XP and items when vanquishing so anyone goes there that day. Instead of a weekend spread all over the world. With so amany 'empty' places, what GW needs is a bit of gathering people in one point to make the same thing.

It's a nice theory, but I really doubt it's going to be true. As much as I'd like it to be. However, since most greens suck anyway with the same repetitive stats and hardly any variety, they'd just be a bunch of sundering, fortitude garbage with 15^50.

Even back then in mid 2006 when they added a whole bunch of new weapons in an undocumented update (totem axes, fans and stuff) they were found in mere minutes after update. I know that, I was selling first Totem axes for 55k+ half an hour after this update myself
Mayhaps you forgot, but they pretty much announced the coming of that batch of weapons in the scribe.

136 areas actually. The theory on using the vanquishing to get the weapon winners out there sounds plausible, and will actually be quite nice if it turns out to be true.

Last time the weapons were found by going into each area and receiving download on a previously -image'd dat file.
