transfer of ldoa title

I had an idea about the LDOA title (I know it's been brought up in the past, but I searched and didn't see this idea) since many characters were created before ldoa existed, or are canthan or elonian characters and have no chance at ldoa.. what if it were possible to do a 1 time transfer of the ldoa title from a character on your account to another character.

Basically, each account gets a code added to it that can be used once (like the codes for the minis, where you type 'bonus' or whatever. You would have to create a char in pre that is the same class as the char you want to transfer the title to (ie, if your main char is a ranger, you must do it on a ranger) As long as the char is in pre, you can type 'ldoabonus' or whatever and are given a quest from someone in pre to become level 20. After you get level 20 (or if you already are), you go back to that quest giver and get some kind of item that is customized to that character. Then you must go to post with that char to complete the quest, which changes that item to another that is customized to your account AND removes the ldoa title from that character. Then you can put it in storage, take it out on the character you want to transfer the title to, and double click it. Of course, it will not work if the char has any level of the survivor title, since the 2 titles are mutually exclusive.

Anyway, anet will never do this, so it's not really a petition to sign or not, I just think it would be a good way for people to get ldoa on their main character in a fair way that doesn't cheapen the title for the people that do have it.

LDoA should be lost if a you ever leave pre-sear and survivor should be lost if you ever die. This would remove contention around both the titles.

As long as these are NOT customized I /sign it..

I have no problems with my Elonian character having LDOA.

When it comes to LDoA and survivor I put some rules and things I want them to be like:
- Can't have both.
- Never account wide, but if a character of a profession gets it, all of the same profession get it (profession wide).
- Attainable anytime.
- Only Tyrian characters can get LDoA.

That rule has already been broken, at least one person has both. The simple fact that has happen should make anet rethink both titles

edit: so people know: there were two quest that could be repeated in pre. They have been changed, but not before at least one person got both titles. They were the herding of the pigs, the unwritten quest, it used to have a xp reward but now it only has gold. The other was Rites of Rememberance, if u accept quest with a full inventory, u got the xp, but not the item. Then if you rezoned you could repeat the quest. This also has been changed. But damage has been done.

Sadly that will never happen, and thus those of us who started playing in the beginning are screwed because we have an investment in an old character instead of starting from scratch with a new one.

Really?

Then both titles must be reworked now, not just survivor.

well if there enough forum uproar either anet will do either do two things:
Ban all users with both title, clearly they exploited a quest to get it.
or
Alter the titles.

At first i'd think they would ban the users, it is the cheapest of the fixes, but then it gets pretty grey seeing how no 3rd party hacks were used, which that is the standard if a exploit is bannable or not. Also the fact that LDoA was made because of a exploit. Death level was and forever will be a exploit. So why is that exploit acceptable, but making quests repeatable because u have a full inventory isn't.

I don't understand this LDoA title,

from reading this thread, it use to be able to do with repeatable quests, which I am fine with, because there are other quest that are repeatable as well, like the one outside of House ze Heltzer, you can deliver the box millions of time and the quest will still be there.

so, now that arena net has "fix" these repeatable quests, there is no way to get to level 20 in pre-sears if you do not use the "Death leveling" which is also consider by some to be an exploit.

THE QUESTION:
why did arena net added the LDoA title when they do not provide player with a "ligitimate" way of leveling to level 20 in pre-sear?

My thoughts:
LDoA should be given to players character that never leave pre-sear for a set amount of time, and is also active (active meaning that the character is being play at least once a week, (or a reasonable amount of login perweek) after they have completed all the quests with every inch of the map revealed regardless of their level. Once you take your character out of Pre Sear Ascalon, your character will have lost the title.

My other thoughts:
that is why random quest should be added from time to time :P~

Actually, the only person I know of who got both used an exploit to take a monk tome into presearing, long after those quests were changed to give no xp. Although I was aware of the pig quest giving xp, and there was a bug with a quest that would give you xp before the dialogue to accept the reward. As far as I know, both of these were changed before titles were introduced, so it would have taken an extremely dedicated person to get those before they even existed.

I have however, always agreed that survivor should be changed to just reset the amount of xp you need after a death. And I don't see why I shouldn't support this idea.

Here's a question: Does ANet benefit more from having players try to redo the titles many times before they get them, or would it be better for them to let people play normally and get the titles later?

Whatever way is more beneficial to them is probably the way we'll go. I don't like your idea of the transfer, but I'm still a supporter of changing both titles.

This is what he claimed how he got both somewhere down the page.
The point is that the heart have been broken, and anet needs to rework the rules. I sorta wish it remained unlocked so Gaile might have seen it so the issue could be brought up. I sorta hate how these two title are never addressed when alot of people have beefs with them, and just mentioning minipets gets anets full attention.
I honestly don't think pvp skill changes and minipets are goin to keep people playing til gw2 honestly.

I see a problem as you say they have to be the same class to transfer the title. That means Sin, Para, Derv, and Rit's still wont have a chance to get the title as you cannot make those classes in Pre Prohpecies.
