Lunar fortunes Lucky Aura??

Ok I have searched the forums and couldn't find any thread that answered the question I am goign to ask. So here it goes

Does the lucky aura effect the drop rate of the reward chests in the Domain of Anguish?

I have heard you get double drops but I find this hard to believe. I lookedo n wiki and it states that there is no known effect on drop rates which makes sense but my friend swears by it. As I am not 10/8 Norn/LB I am exculded from participating in most Ursan clears of DoA so I can't test this myself.

No, it does nothing. But it's ok, I have stupid friends that swear by things like that too.

When I have used the lunar fortunes in the past have never got any extra drops in doa.

Funny thing is he was so convincedhe went out and bought a bunch of them for 1K ea. Hope they do something for him Thanks

I think ANet used us for a great sociology report for one of their poor interns that was working so hard that he had no time to finish his thesis.

If he bought them from you, then gg. If he needs anymore I may have a few still.

EDIT: The only reason I know they have no effect is because there was a huge debate here after they came out. Final word was that it has no effect. No real effect anyway.

I have been very careful with my Lunar Fortunes, saving them since last year, using them only when I am going to a territory where I will be opening chests and sadly I think Katsumi Rikyu is right. They seem to do nothing. It is very disappointing.

However, the stat boost does do something. It helps you kill things faster and therefore seems to increase drops by a little bit. Nevertheless, I still am thrifty with my Lunar Fortunes and I still hope they prove me wrong someday by presenting me with several consecutive good luck chest openings in a row.
