I was thinking about things, and many people had talked about what they would like to see when it comes to possible updates. I would love to see them reopen the Catacombs, would be quite fun for a dungeon. I had wondered if they were going to use it in EotN. So many of us cut our teeth on that lovely maze of insanity and it would be a fun addition ala Sorrows to have it an update.
Just my thoughts on it all.

i have heard there won't be any major update area wise to the game as all the main devs are working on gw2, but with gw continuing to slow down they will have to do something to keep interest in game or ppl will be heading out when the next wow comes out shortly warhammeronline rumored to be out this year and stargate mmorpg and star trek mmorpg both due end of year.that is lot of big games due out that gw will have to compete with. please devs release another elite area like uw/fow that can be reached thru all 3 games.

It would be nice if they made the Catacombs open from Sardelac Sanitarium though, just for old times sake. I'm not sure it would be that hard of an update, either. They already have a sizable map, they just need to populate it with level twenty threes instead of just level threes.

Even if it just where the very same dungeon, with absolutely no changes in spawns and such, but entering only in Hard Mode would be enough for me.

This idea was discussed before GW:EN. Some questioned where it would be. Would owning Prophecies be neccessary to access it, or would there be entrances on every continent.
GW:EN gives us more dungeons. Not the old catacombs, they were unique, but some of the new ones are quite stunning.

4 man catacomb dungeon to explore (Hint The damaged remains outside ascalon city) It could be the same map fill it with nasty things… it would be a good carrot till GW2 comes out
Maybe stick a new kind of critter in it Skeleton Horror (random shaped creature made from bones) with some nasty monster skills.

Im a big fan of stargate and the fact that they are gonna make a mmo for it blows my mind.

I think that all the threads saying "re-open the catacombs" was why GW:EN existed.
The new Catacombs IS the depths of Tyria. A.net knew we wanted some underground areas again, and they provided us with them.

I would open it to all lvls but I do beleive there is a link between it and The Crystal Desert.I don't seem them doing this though as everything is set on GW2.

When they first announced the dungeons thing for GW:EN, they gave me the impression that the tunnel network stretches between continents.
It's misleading as these dungeons are all separate and only some are joined by Asuran gates.
