Ursan Blessing Questions
Perkunas
Everyone keeps talking about this Ursan Blessing build, questions keep coming up in my mind like:
Isn't UB just a quest skill, or can it be aquired as a "keeper?" If it is aquirable, where do you get it?

After making one of the Ursan Primary quests (The one were you kill a lot of Charr) you can talk to an NPC and get another quest to gain it.

It's the same for the other Blessings.

I have done the Blood Washes Blood quest, must have missed the other somewhere, cause I don't have the skill. Guess I will have to back track.
Thanks, just wasn't seeing it in the links.
Well, it looks like that quest is lost. I guess skipping "side quests" till later, screws things up.

Find Hogni Truthseeker in Drakkar Lake he has 3 quests for you to aquire each of the 3 elite PvE skills.
enter_the_zone
yeah, just go to Hogni at any time after you have completed the quest requirement the first time. I only got Ursan after completing GWEN and handing in 4 HM heroes handbooks.
Amon Warrior
Careful when you use UB after you get it. You'll need to be up and close to those nasty creatures. It loses its effectiveness for someone who would be better off handling AoE damage from a distance...
Perkunas
Wiki says required quest is Blood Washes Blood. Even though I have completed this one and collected the reward, the other quests will still be available?
Amon Warrior
In "Blood Washes blood" you'll have UB for that quest only (any GWEN primary quest is replayable).
You will only get Ursan Blessing for you character in "A Hunter's Pride" quest.

All you need to do for ursan is put that skill on your bar, click it and gogogo

I used UB in the BWB quest. I didn't realize that there was another quest that had UB as a reward. As for "stooping that low", I have never had a build that would let me "steamroll" any area, unless a pair of MM heros count as a steamroller. This would just be a new toy to play with for awhile.

By all means, play around w/ UB, but please don't become one of those elitists that thinks that because they can make all areas of the game a cinch via UB, that they are somehow superior.
In other words, it's not UB we hate, it's what it turns some people into, (and I'm not just talking about a bear.).

I have to laugh here. I have been playing for more than 2 years. Even though I have 3000+ hours in, the last thing I think of myself as, is an Elitist. I have HM unlocked in Prophesies on one of my accounts, the one I don't play much anymore. Ventured out into Old Ascalon with a friend and 6 heros, had maybe 2/3 cleared when dps ended our trip. Haven't been back since. That shows you how "Elite" I am. So I am laughing at me becoming an Elitist.

I don't think you're this kind of person, and I'm sorry if I came across as such. It's just that UB leaves a bad taste in my mouth, y'know...
Anyway, happy hunting!

Biostem - you came across ok, just letting you know I am not likely to become an Elitetist.
trobinson97 - where did I say I left ToA to do Old Ascalon? Actually left Sardelac Sanitarium.

Methinks there is some part of your memory is not quite correct, though I am sure it is only with the party count.

last i checked it was the non-UBers talking about the "n0-skill3r UBers that ruined mi PvE" that were elitist
kthx

Just a heads-up: having ursan on one person in the team is not terribly uber. It's still better than any warrior build, but as an ele you can probably do better with, say, a searing flames build.
You'll need to team up with at least two other ursans to see the real power of the skill, and the more ursans in the team, the more godlike you get.
The only other skill you might want to bring is Glyph of Renewal (I think that's the name?) which gives you X energy if your energy is below Y, because even though you'll rarely run out of energy with a zealous weapon, it does happen, and waiting for the energy to get back up is annoying.

On topic, Certainly try Ursan out for yourself and see if you like it. If you do, Thats great, and if you dont, No problem either. your preferences depend on your play style. myself, mostly playing a ranger, dont see the front lines a lot, so playing an UB PUG in Domain Of Anguish is a bit of a change from bow attacks. I will however say that UB is a bit overpowered, considering an Ursan group (with people with norn titles in the 5-6 range) can clear City Of Torq'ua in about 10-15 minutes. Its fun to fiddle around with, and a nice change if youre having trouble with a specific vanquish or Hard Mode mission.
Though, if youre one of the people who see UB as "removing all skill requirement from the game", then please keep that opinion to yourself. we dont need any more Ursan griefers on these forums.
Have fun!
