Hey people. I looked at some pictures with Paragon, Sins, Mesmers in them with Obsidian armor and I was shocked. Profesions that don't have any good faming places have obsidian armos and 15 (or so) maxed titles. How is it possible?

I have finished all three campaings with my ele, compleated many side quests and I have farmed a bit, but I have only 60k in my storage. What is wrong with me? How do they get so much money? Do they farm with other chars? If so, than it is not so cool because it takes days (even with 55hp monk or necro) to farm atleast 700k gold. So where is the secret I havent found jet?

Farm with other chars.
Trade
Buy gold online.

To add to what Malice said:

Don't buy unnecessary stuff. Especially not keys. Get ID and salvage kits with the imperial commendations etc. and get a set of max armor and rune it up.

Get collector weapons and/or greens if they drop.

Farming is so boring.
How can I trade if I don't have any high-end items n stuff..
That's not allowed and I'm not dumb.

That is exactly what I'm doing. Everything that drops white/blue/purple goes to merchant.

You think Sins and Mesmers have no good farming options?

That's disturbingly laughable.

How to powertrade:

Get some starting money.

Start buying stuff for cheap.

Start selling the same stuff for more.

PROFIT!

Basically it.

You can't get Obsidian Armor from farming a bit. It requires a little more than that.

My advice to you would be:
- Don't buy useless stuff (items you won't use, keys etc.)
- You will have to farm a little to get some Cash and Eles can farm quite good
- Watch the market, know what's wanted, know the prices.....

The fastest way to get it...is powertrading...even if you dont have a lot of money. Buy something with that 60k you have saved up...sell it for more...then reinvest the money you're making into more...or higher end items.

Buy low sell high...

The people in the pictures have gotten some titles, and that helps a lot too, work on some titles, you'll get a lot of gold in no time. I've started vanquishing Elona, and after about 20 zones, I've made about 45 ectos and 100k.

Basically I Make Descent money off UW Ursanway its quick and fast.

when i go there i dont buy keys, i let keys drop down there thats how i get keys.

dont buy id and salvage kit get them from battle commadations and monastery credits, and imperial commadations to save money

get perfect collector items instead of perfect gold items, they might not be rare but they will get you started. instead of wasting 10k on an elite tome dont be lazy got cap it urself even if it far. i save up on whatever dropped for on my way to go cap it and i make at least2.5k every explorable area.

once you get there you'll see that it paid off.

if there is anyway you can make a Healers Boon Monk make one they are want in ursanway groups.

I've been doing UW for a while now and ive made atleast 200k off gold items and ecto.

Try as hard as you can not to spend any money unless it nescessary like armor dont dye it

thats how u save money

Any class can farm, it's just that with some classes its faster and easier to do so.

As has been stated before, most people don't have a problem with earning money, its saving money that really takes a little thinking.

I'll add this: ID all your drops from higher-end areas, even whites. In most cases the value of those crap whites goes up a bunch! It's well worth the investment on ID kits.

I trapped the Underworld with 3 of my close Guild Wars friends. Everytime an ecto dropped they gave it to me. I then helped in return giving the ecto's to my friends for their FoW armor. It's nice having such great friends to help with such a task .
As for the shards, I bought those from other players or from the rare material trader since they were 2.3k each and not 8-10k for ecto's.
Mind you this was all done before loot scaling was implemented so it didn't take that long to save up funds.

Also:
Play for ages, collect all drops, don't spend any gold on things you don't need and set yourself the goal of getting the FoW armor.
Playing Hard Mode a lot also helps.
Does this get you FoW in a couple of days?
Nope, have to disappoint you, it takes a lot longer.

15+ maxed titles on a 'less wanted' character?
I think people underestimate the dedication of some players.
And the time they invest in their character.
Take my mesmer for example.
I have about 1/3 of my total GW playing time on that character.
Indeed 15+ titles. And no FoW, since it's a male character and I don't like male mesmer FoW.
