How do I turn on sound for the emotes? - Guild Wars Guru Archive

I get no sound for any of the emotes like laugh, yawn, play violin, etc. Is there no sound or do I have to turn it on somewhere?

Guild Wars isn't like that silly World of Warcraft game. No sounds on the emotes.
I'm glad actualy. I don't want the already crounded districts overrun with the sound of people laughing. It would slow down many peoples' computers (Thats why they removed sounds on minipets).

Actually, i still hear sounds on my hydra, whiptail devourer, and thorn wolf...

Hehe - I was going to have a pop at WoW in my post too, but I thought better of it.

Imagine how annoying it would be with a town full of people spamming audible emotes.
