thought Id share a few clues for some folks to find q7's max golds

1. They will not drop in HM
2. They will not drop from creatures higher than lvl 20, lvl 19 is the cut off point for q7
3. They will not drop from creatures lower than lvl 14, lvl 15 is the cut of before not getting max damage.

So that gives you the range of lvl 15 - lvl 19. The closer you get to lvl 19 creatures the higher chance they will be max damage however the lower the lvl chance for them to be q7.

Interesting...I'm guessing these tips only apply to Prophecies as i've never seen a max r8 let alone an r7 drop in any other campaign.

Knowing where those levels are is there locations and the types of beasties dont matter its there level that matters.

i remember them when prophecies had came out but i thought that Anet stopped them from dropping

These clues are not true simply because req. 7, max weapons do not drop anymore.

Also, HOLY RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOING SHIT MANITOBA IS BACK. RUN FOR THE HILLS!

Because I still have a gold req 7 Gilded Artifact which from my information can only drop from level 20 (or higher) foes.

This should also be an answer to Antithesis, since this is a Factions item.

but any idea as for a solo? You can't use a 55 build as they have [skill]Gaze of Contempt[/skill], you your best bet is to either Ob flesh them, or use a [skill]Shadow Form[/skill] with [skill]Shadow of Haste[/skill] with a cancelling stance

Are you talking about the drone things outside nahpui? you can farm them easy in nm. I did it with my rit. Rt/E with [skill]Glyph of Swiftness[/skill] and [skill]Vengeful was Khanhei[/skill] and vengeful weapon is all you really need. But since i had room, i maxed out channeling and brought Bloodsong, Vampirism, essence strike, spirit rift, and nightmare weapon(to finish off monk drones) Takes a few mins to kill them all. Make sure you aggro all the ones that are in the group so that they wand you. Otherwise some will stay in the back and heal, making it longer.

** Used max armor with wand(for nightmare weapon) and shield **

As far as I recall, but it's been ages since I got the item, it was a drop in the Citi area in factions. I don't think I've seen them on starter island, which is the only place with lower level foes. But I could be wrong on that.
Doubt it was a chest drop, since I did not open chests at that time (and now, since those don't count for title).
Also doubt it was a mantid drop.
Leaving only level 20 foes for the drop.

I don't see any reason why max req 7 items should not drop anymore.
So far, I have had only 2 or 3 of them drop (maybe more, but don't keep whites unless they have special skin). Meaning they were rare in the first place.

I'm not saying they don't drop, but so far the chances to drop a req7 are about the same as getting Miniature Three-Legged-Flying-Monkey out of Zaishen Chest.
