I used to have an older version of Nod32 Antivirus, which, in order to run Guild Wars without issues, one of the scanners had to be turned off. The new software does not give me that option, and I have difficulty running both at the same time now. Would anyone know how to fix this?

Um, I would suggest going with AVG instead? Free is perfectly adequate, and the paid-for version has all the bells and whistles for a reasonable price.

Switched to that from ZoneAlarm when I installed Vista - ZA at the time would totally kill a Vista install (wonder if they ever fixed that?)

Might I suggest getting someone to merge this with its duplicate thread?

If you wanted free AV I'd have to agree with Snorgrat, AVG Free is my favorite choice. However, I'm also of the belief that NOD32 is the best AV you'll get for Windows, Kaspersky coming in close second.

I believe that Tarun suggested turning off your AV during play in the other thread... if all you're doing is playing GW I'd be inclined to agree. It's the simplest and quickest solution to the problem.
