Paragorn Offensive character?
Nor
i was wondering if the paragorn could be used as an offensive character primary than a support character for your party (mainly for pve) cause i wanted to try this new character but i always find alot of joy in killing everything around :P , so following this category of paragorn what would you suggest and for secondary what could be nice for offensive lots of damage ;3 char?can it be elementalist , warrior ,assasin ;p?

well cruel spear.. para/W with FGJ... para arent often used entirely for dmg
Bobby2
I love spear damage. No big fan of Cruel, even though it is very good, since Para's have many other juicy ways of inflicting DW - IMO Merciless is just almost just as viable since it'll mostly be spike assisting anyway. The downside (?) is that Speargons tend to grab Stunning Strike as their Elite, forcing them into anti-caster focus.
Paragons really need more (Spear) Elites.
EDIT: Big fan of [skill]focused anger[/skill] - and - [skill]crippling anthem[/skill]

While it may be hard to notice spear damage, in reality they have have more min dmg than the sword and only 1 point lower in max damage than an axe. They are ranged, fast flying as a shortbow, and attack rate is as fast as sword.
Heres a guide to an offensive paragon and skills to think about using:
Paragons, like rits, are a mix of support and offense. A Save yourselfs/There's nothing to fear/Anthem of Weakness spear chucker is a really good recommendation as a support/offense hybrid because as it is, you can make a big impact on reducing the damage but at the same time, you can keep up your offensive goodness with skills you usually don't have enough slots to add in.
I also recommend aggressive refrain since it VASTLY helps you recharge save yourselfs and -20 armor isn't that bad for a paragon since you have BOTH a shield and 80 total armor.Aggressive Refrain can be kept up infinitely by spamming anthem of weakness.
Vicious Spear isn't worth it when you have a better skill like Slayer's Spear which has very good damage, deep wound duration, and recharge time. The catch? All you need is less hp than your enemy.Okay, think about it.Your a PARAGON!You are NOT targeted a lot from enemy ai due to base armor and your RANGED.This allows you to lower your max hp as an ADVANTAGE rather than disadvantage.I usually have +2 spear mastery,+2+1 Leadership,+1 command,+1 motivation which brings me to about 455 hp(Without a +30 hp shield)), however, this is me.YOU can decide how much hp you like. However, I like to leeroy things when playing with hench so I am safe with 455 hp.
Lightning spear is another skill you will consider.Good dmg,"okay" recharge, low cost, it pwns..It also has lightning damage.Use it in an area were lightning damage is strong or for enemy's with a lot of defense.
Next is Spear of Fury.It is a STAPLE in paragon builds!!Good dmg,low energy cost, gives you points in adrenaline, fair recharge time(For the effect) DAMN this rocks!!
Last but not least, there are many skills in eye of the north title skills that will just plain help you out. However, you can only have 3 pve only skills,so if your plannign to ditch spear of fury, for en skills, make sure it benefits the build as much ;3 My suggestions are:
I am the strongest will last forever until you do 4...8 attacks, meaning you can continuously keep up echo's.By Ural's Hammer is also a good choice to help with your damage and since you have the range of a spear, you are usually close to the whole team, meaning it is quite easy to use because most allies are within earshot. One of the Asura summons are also good because they help with dmg and count as allies affected by shouts, therefor giving you more energy from leadership.Great Dwarf weapon can just plain help with damage.Ebon battle standards are also useful.
You can also go ursanway, but ursanway is kind of boring and limited.
Its YOUR choice to decide what you want, but you got the basic concept
Conclusion:
Paragons are overpowered but due to misconceptions, they are unnoticed.

I consider the 3 PvE skill slots taken by Spear of Fury, SY! and TNTF!. If it's just PvE we're talking about

Spear of Fury is decent enough if you don't have access to the PvE skills offered in the expansion. I would hardly consider it a staple.
Oblivious Moose
perfer dark fury on a hero over spear of fury hands down.

omg kain fz you just have inspired me to make a paragon thx ;3

Yes, you have permission to throw that spear they gave you in the tutorial at people, despite what you might have heard to the contrary. You can put points into Spear Mastery too, which makes you do more damage when throwing your spear at people.

Kinda.
They aren't a crit scythe sin, dealing over 100 dmg each hit on level 20+ enemys, but paragon's still have decent damage for a offensive/support hybrid.I remember dealing around 65 dmg to level 20 charr with mighty throw.

Mighty Throw is slow and kills your rate of adrenaline gain. You can auto-attack twice in the time it takes for one Mighty Throw.

He's right...Spear of Fury is one of the most powerful PvE skills i think. At r12 Kurz/Lux it does +40 dmg...and like gives 6 adrenaline...MY GOd...+40 dmg.....

Well my problem is this. Save Yourselves! gives +100 AL and practically has 100% uptime with as little as rank 3 in Kurzick or Luxon with Focused Anger. There's Nothing To Fear! is an equal defensive beast with 35% reduction and a 60 point party wide heal. Then there is Ebon Battle Standard of Honor. At max rank, which is much easier than grinding out 10,000,000 faction, it gives everything standing inside it +15 damage on everything for 20 seconds with a 20 second recharge. There is no room on my paragon's bar for Spear of Fury and there never will be.

Ebon Standard of Honor is certainly a skill I see in a lot of builds instead of Spear of Fury. Although Spear of Fury is really good, believe it or not the adrenaline gained through this skill is not missed, and damage is better over time with Standard of Honor as well.
Mighty Throw is way too slow to use even with an IAS, and the damage isn't worth it when you can attack twice in the time it took you to use that one skill.
Personally, I made a nice full offensive build that is /Rt. IT can be found here;

It's nice if you find the typical SY/TINTF builds getting dull. It's not too hard to come up with an offensive paragon build, but I use my warrior for spear builds for the most part.

The Sticky would give you all you know if you want to become Offensive Paragon instead of Defensive. Read the whole thing, it will tell you everything about paragons and how to perfect one.

Kain,
According to wiki : Sword attack speed = 1.33 sec. Spear attack speed = 1.5 sec Darkside
Do both at the same time... protect your team with chants and do damage with your spear. You don't have to choose one or the other and doing so would be fail.

So obviously he means he prefers putting Dark Fury on a hero bar to putting Spear of Fury on his own? (I run both, but only because I don't have EotN => EBS/Honor.)
