Caster Shield and Spear

Ok im just wondering what stats would a ele use on a spear and shield?

If you're talking in terms of pvp, I really like something along these lines:

Spear, +5 energy, +30 health
Shield, +30 health, +10 vs piercing

Assassins and rangers like to pick on eles, so +10 vs piercing helps a ton.

Depends. Do you use enchantments? If so a while enchanted mods would be ideal for shields, and a regular HP damage reduction mods to swap out if your enchant is removed.

I never used em for an elementalist, but for my monk, i preferably have wand sheild, wand focus item, sword shield, sword focus item. I switch out depending on if im being spiked, or energy denial, or the wand if im not being attacked, and want to add 10-18 damage with a wand.

Shes right, forget what i said about damage reduciton for sheilds (like -2 while etc.) the piercing does help.
