Get drops when you die

Everyone knows that if you forget to pick something up in a mission and you complete it, you can get it afterward. Well, I think you should be able to get them even if you fail the mission or all die because, say you don't have any inventory space and have to wait to clear it out before you can pick it up? Really not fair if we die when we're on our way to pick up a gold or perfect purple and then everyone else dies so we can't get it. What does everyone else think?

And the inventory spaces refers to multiple armor sets since ANet won't give us an armor closet.

ex. if somebody drops something like a wallet or jewely, and then someone shoots you and you die, would it magically transport to wherever you come back to life?

/notsigned As people have said you shouldn't be rewarded for dying. If you get a good drop and you have a problem with dying then get it ASAP. Don't be stupid and run into another group to get it but wait till you finish that group and get it. As for a full inventory, just don't... even towards the end of a mission or area you should just be getting a full inventory so it shouldn't be a big deal. Salvage more if you need space tbh.

Well sometimes it's easier said than done I mean "don't die" - Well yeah sounds good doesn't it...
Here is the fact: sometimes you're going to die and I think there are sometimes you should possibly be allowed to get the drops. However, if you're in a mission with a full inventory - I would say too bad think ahead. I mean next thing we will see someone want to access their storage for lockpicks during a a farming run b/c they forgot to bring them? Which I have done.

Also, if you died with a gold on the ground, your party wouldn't all die just to spite you. They would wait until the reservation wears off and go claim it themselves.
Even still, when a gold drops, you go claim it right away just in case the party does wipe.

Dead people are already so badly hurt that they can't pick things up. Plus I don't want complications later like something is out of reach for someone to pick up so they kill themselves or aggro a mob to wipe the group just to get whatever it is that dropped for them.

The one post above about picking up rare items quickly reminds me of the time a smiter for me had an ecto drop, ran up to get it and got killed by the 2 remaining aataxes. Had to decide do I stand there and stay alive until 20 minutes expires because he would not leave it. The sad part is I actually had to think about it.

Singed only for that one mission that I failed in the beginning of my carreer of GW. I died degeneration killed my target then a black dye fell and mission ended

People camping your drop is not a scam. It's a helluva assholish thing to do but it's not scamming. If people kill you off then they are extremely sad. I don't think I have seen anyone kill other people off just for a drop in over a year. Last time I saw something remotely like that happen was in FoW back when shards were expensive. But otherwise no, I haven't seen it. If people get you killed off then you need to learn the meaning of retreat. Sorry but just no. No reward for failing.

For example, you go to UW, 1 is smiter the other is 600. The solo monk will aggro EVERYTHING in the area. Yes, it means high chance of dieing BUT it's the fastest way you can ever do to get ectos. You kill a lot then die. And still be able to get ectos.

what's next? loot automatically appearing in your inventory incase you don't see it drop or it becomes unassigned before you get to pick it up?
If you leave the outpost with nothing in inventory other than a few alternate weapons then you're not going to have problems with space for loot (except on long vanquishing runs). If you die before you pick up a nice drop, then you're not good enough to have earned the nice drop.
