Hello to all
I just have a few questions that I hope some knowledgeable person(s) can answer, so I'll try to make it as organized as possible:
1) What is the damage difference between Vampiric Horrors, Shambling Horrors and Bone Horrors?
2) Since Flesh Golem is an elite, it obviously cannot be used with Order of Undeath. So, would I do more damage (potentially) with OoD and Vampiric, Shambling and Bone Horrors than with Flesh Golem and the afore-mentioned minions?
3) Which minions can take the most dmg as well? (edit)
I'm trying to figure out what is really the most effective build and difference between using Horrors and OoD, or Horrors along with Golem.
My Death Magic lvl is at 16, so I res lvl 18 Horrors and lvl 26 Golem.
OoD seems to have a great effect, at +17 dmg at my lvl, but the Flesh Golem actually seems to do more damage than I've seen some people state.
OoD also, while great, only lasts five seconds and can really whack your health, though it's a great spell from what I'm seeing so far.
If anyone can shine some wisdom on my specific questions, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've searched around, but haven't been able to really find information that would directly address my quandary.
Thanks in advance, and I love the forums!

1) bone horrors have no special effect, the others do
2) go with flesh golem

Carinae
1) None, they are the same in damage. They have different effects however.
2) OoU does more damage than FG, when it's active. However, FG is active all the time, once animated.
3) In order from most to least: FG, 3 Horror types (Vamp, Shambling, and Bone), Bone Fiends, Jagged Horrors, Bone Minions
What you forgot to ask is what type of minion deals the most damage. That would be Bone Fiends.
10 Bone Fiends yields the highest DPS of any MM build, before any 'booster' skills are factored in. (ie: OoU, Asura Scan, EBSH, Barbs, Mark of Pain, Winnowing, etc)
Common MM builds typicaly contain one or two melee minion types and Fiends. The melee minions act as meat shields while the Fiends pound away. Typically the MM tries to maintain somewhere from 0-50% melee and the rest Fiends.
Get a +1 Death Magic offhand, as well, to achieve 17 DM 20% of the time. This one level significantly improves affected minions.

Minions
Start there.
That page will link you to each minion in the game. From reading them each you get all the information you can.
Things like Health or Armor formula for the level of your creature and some tests done at the Master of Damage to gauge their damage level.
[skill]Animate Bone Horror[/skill][skill]Animate Bone Minions[/skill] [skill]Animate Vampiric Horror[/skill] all share the same skin and basic stats per level.
Jagged Horrors and [skill]Animate Shambling Horror[/skill] have individual skins. All of those minions are melee range. All melee range minions have an attack speed of approx 3.19 seconds per attack..in other words SLOW!!
Bone Horrors and Vampiric Horrors have an average damage around 27 damage per hit(17 to 49), Shambling Horrors just less around (16 to 47), and Jagged around (13 - 34). I don't include the Bone Minions but they also add some damage too.
[skill]Animate Bone Fiend[/skill]
Their damage per hit is between 17 and 49 and averages about 27. So far identical to the Bone Horror and Vampiric Minions. So why do people say Bone Fiends do more DPS? Because of their attack time which is once every 1.9 seconds. Not super attack speed by any means but substantially faster than the rest.
I don't include [skill]Animate Flesh Golem[/skill] as it's a wasted elite imo. There are better elites for MM's to use.
[skill]Aura of the Lich[/skill][skill]Order of Undeath[/skill] even speccing a little in Blood to help your team with [skill]Blood is Power[/skill] would be a better use of your elite imo.

NOT true. Bone minions only get 3 AL per level, unlike the others that get 4 per level.
Here are the correct stats at 16 Death Magic:
Bone Minions
Health: 340
Armor: 39
DPS: 4
Bone Horror
Health: 440
Armor: 72
DPS: 8
Vampiric Horror
Health: 440
Armor: 72
DPS: 8
Special: Steals life for their master.
Shambling Horror
Health: 440
Armor: 72
DPS: 8
Special: Creates Jagged Horror upon dying.
Jagged Horror
Health: 400
Armor: 64
DPS: 6
Special: Causes bleeding (6 DPS) against fleshy targets that not already bleeding. (Note: AI usually fails badly at spreading bleeding around to not-already-bleeding targets.)
Bone Fiends
Health: 440
Armor: 54
DPS: 14
Special: Ranged
Flesh Golem{E}
Health: 600
Armor: 104
DPS: 26
(The DPS stats could probably be revised to something more accurate now that texmod lets us examine critical and non-critical hits separately.)
For minion master builds, Carinae provides good advice, as usual. By and large, I agree. Use bone fiends. Use as many as you can. And buff them up with OoU. Bring bone or vamp horrors to tank for the bone fiends, as few as you can get away with.

Sir Pandra Pierva
DPS wise I would say the fiends because of their faster attack speed
for meatshield i would say flesh
i dont like OoD personally because it saps my health too much for me to want to use i just like being lazy when i mm but it does put out high dmg so i wont knock that
