I'm trying to figure out where the best place to solo farm Lunar Tokens will be. I'd imagine a place with countless low level mobs. Perhaps using a solo minion master or dervish. Here's what I've come up with:

I seriously doubt anything will be able to beat Raptor farming in NM, since Lunar Tokens arent lootscaled and because of the sheer number of them and the fact that they can be taken down in seconds. E/A or A/E Fire user over Earth ele to kill faster since. You would typically go Earth Ele with Sliver Armor because of how things get lootscaled if everything dies at the same time. Then Again, Lunar Tokens are not lootscaled

Left ctrl copy/paste the characters name. After you delete it, that name immediately becomes available again. Easy for deleting too.

it not nerfed. To get the Quests now you have to be lvl 5. Now you have to work for the Tokens.

...a nerf is a change in the rules of the game to make something weaker. It was nerfed.
Creating a bunch of characters and bringing them to level 5 simply to delete them is not "work", it's horribly tedious grinding.

Any one else have any suggestions? I'm looking for a solution as well. I have done all the event quests still have not gotten a Lunar Rat. Now its time to farm.

well i think you cant farm them, i did kinda 30 runs outside of rata sum, just to get 3 RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing damn tokens, i dont think you can call that farming tokens. well gaile is online quite often right now, maybe they will edit something to let them drop more often, i hope so.

Gaile doesn't give a celestial rat's butt about the rate of token drops. She's responsible for Guild Wars community and believe me even if she does tell the dev team, they will never make them drop more. If there is one thing ANet devs are good at, it's at making something drop LESS... WAY LESS.

I've been at work during the entire event so I can't test, but from what I'm hearing, EoTN has little to zero token drop rate. Yet while I just did some of the festival quests (soloing), some dropped. So it might be campaign-specific.
Personally first thing I'm gonna try is NM GoK with an axe wamma running JI, whirlwind and triple

I'll agree its about 1 every 3 runs at GoK, and Not worth it.
I thought maybe while I was at it...it wouldnt hurt to stock up on orr emblems for october and december, but I got plenty of time to do that any other weekend.

Farming does NOT equal an exploit. Anet and Gaile have said many, many times that they SUPPORT farmers and understand people enjoy the game in lots different ways. I've tried this, and I've done it in 27 minutes as a warrior (I think the second warrior quest is the fastest to get done). But this time also includes the Big bang and Hopeless romantic quests, since you have to go to Penniyang Penninsula to meet next warrior master anyway. I guess this time is quite good for 75 tokens, around 1.3k you get from quests and 6 festival items (it would be 9, but you have to use 3 for Big Bang quest). The important thing is to have 5 "sparky" items to scare Nians, 10 glitt dust and a good axe in storage.
If someone wants I can post more details, but I guess it's quite obvious

hey that's still pretty nice and more than ne other farm I know atm seccond comes rollar beetle racing as long as you get in the top3the character creating might not be as effective as we thought it would be but it IS still viable and the best option for farming tokens in my oppinion Cyanide Poison
I'm finding the elemental sword farm in the Sulferous Wastes is a good location. i have gotten a good amount from there evey run.

Well the event is 1 hour from finishing. In the end, I found actually doing the silly Dragon's Nest worm slap to be the easiest way to get Lunar Tokens. This was after bringing all my characters over for the quests.
Dragon's Nest was better with more people. I could easily get 20 tokens when there was a group of 5 people playing. This only took 4 minutes too... Sugary Blue Drink + V + space (repeat v+space) = win It was a good event and I appreciate all the tips. |
