As in, with daggers?

If so, you can prolly go Spirit Strenght [E] + Weapon of Agression/Splinter for incredible DPS/AoE...

PvP or PvE?

I met a few Rt/As in RA using [skill]Grasping Was Kuurong[/skill] to leap into a [skill]Falling Spider[/skill] etc etc etc chain. It was..unexpected, at least..but that's RA for you.

rawr? So, a hybrid build with speed buffs? I'm pretty sure it would work, but... why?

It's a flag running build for GvG.

It's a viable enough support char for other PvP formats, though I'd probably want a Res Sig there for Arenas, and maybe Spirit Rift to help with capping in AB.

For PvE, the speed buffs are tantamount to useless. I rarely touch my 2ndary in PvE.

I was leaning more towards PvE since I just use Assassin for pvp.

Thnx for the builds so far though.

Btw I'm interested in using daggers. I think rit with daggers is just cool in ever way.

If you want a build with daggers then you're pretty exclusively looking at a Spirit's Strength build.

Here's a couple i use from time to time in AB or just for a laugh in PvE.

[skill]ancestors' rage[/skill][skill]death's charge[/skill][skill]golden fox strike[/skill][skill]wild strike[/skill][skill]nine tail strike[/skill]Weapon of Aggression[skill]sight beyond sight[/skill][skill]spirit's strength[/skill]

Spawning Power - 11+1+2 (or +1, depends if you want more HP or more firepower)
Dagger Mastery - 10
Channeling -10
Shadow Arts - 1

Template Code - OAek0pfhoSuk3EuTZm/j2TGoyGyG

or

[skill]Dark Prison[/skill][skill]black mantis thrust[/skill]Golden Fang Strike Trampling Ox[skill]falling spider[/skill][skill]vital weapon[/skill][skill]sight beyond sight[/skill][skill]spirit's strength[/skill]

Spawning Power - 12+1+2 (or +3, Vital Weapon will up your HP quite a lot)
Dagger Mastery - 10
Communing - 7
Deadly Arts - 4

Template Code - OAek0peE4RyEFEAEx3VoCz8kyGyG

___________

The first build does a lot of damage to soft targets very quickly and the attack chain is unblockable. It's also easier to repeat to full attack chain.

The second build concentrates more on snaring the target to prevent them from getting away, but it lacks unblockable attacks and an IAS. You could throw Weapon of Aggression in there instead of vital but the build already uses a lot of energy and you'll almost certainly have to use Radiant insignias making you more vunerable (don't forget you're in melee range). The second build also does more damage to higher armoured targets.

I use Ghost Forge insignias on both builds for the extra armour. You'll need it.

Also, both builds require support in the form of prot/healing from another character.

I'd class a Rt/A build as a "fun" build rather than a serious one. Much fun to be had killing other assassins or pretty much anything in AB but if you were to take one into higher end PvE/PvP you'll probably get yelled at a lot from your monks, hehe.

For PvE when i fancy some heavy single target damage i take either a Rt/P spear chucker build or a Rt/R Triple Shot build. Both are ranged and are much safer and both use Spirit's Strength. Also the Rt/R build i've been using recently can spike pretty much anything (Jotuns in HM, Warriors/Bosses in HM, etc) for 300-350+ damage then follow up with shots of 120+. But it is PvE only due to the skills it uses.

I ran this in RA for a while ages ago, someone recently posted a similar build on wiki.
Its a fun build to play, if a little clunky:

[card]Grasping Was Kuurong[/card][card]Cruel Was Daoshen[/card][card]Weapon Of Warding[/card][card]Ancestors' Rage[/card][card]Rupture Soul[/card][card]Destruction[/card][card]Swap[/card][card]Death Pact Signet[/card]

Spawning Power: 11
Channeling: 12 + 1 + 3
Restoration: 6
The usage goes like this:

Use CWD early on, it has a short recharge and a long duration.

Place the Destruction outside of the battle but near enough to cast on, then run in.

Cast CWD again next to an enemy, you will drop the first item, hit Ancestors', then GWK dropping the second item, then Swap with the Destruction Spirit (which drops the third item) and immediately Rupture it.
The whole process does 429 damage plus anything up to 150 from Destruction (and damage from AR if you need it), a knockdown, leaves you outside of the battle by the end and most enemies blinded.

Most of all, its really fun.

The rough time differences across all halls from playing both is only about 4-5 seconds. Some maps are faster ala warriors isle.

The casting at the stand isn't what I was comparing. The survivability when being pushed or pressured while running a flag is what I was comparing the two against each other, in which the Rt/A wins hands down.

Yeah, I know, and nearly all the runners in Observer Mode today are Rt/A.

Except for that one time you guys used a Mo/D.
