Power Block Bug in Heroes?
Redvex
I use gwen to make a interrupt/dom mesmer.
I equip on her
Leech signet
Diversion
Shame
Empathy
Backfire
Energy burn
Power Drain
Power Block (Elite)
During the coop she uses all skill except Power Block.
(I know that is not a perfect build buti i made it fast for the coop)

is the above the exact order on your bar from left to right?
I run power block with no problem on her but i use it as skill #1 from left to right

Here's the exact order
Shanaeri Rynale
They run it ok, but dont always choose the optimal skill to interupt, so if i'm going to use PB in a build i'll run it instead.
Painbringer
I wonder if you move it to space one if it will make a difference? Again I always have it on (skill slot one) and she uses it .
Redvex
I dunno it's the first coop in torment i bring gwen to interrupt dryder but she never use poweblock.
OT
You think that is good build for a mesmer? what better elite instead powerblock?

Power Block has a cost of 15e so I am wondering if you have modded up your hero's armor so that they have a decent energy pool to pull from. I just tested this for about 5 min outside of droks with gwen and the skill position in the skill bar doesn't seem to matter but when I took off her runes she casted it 70% less on the necro's long cast minion summons, hope this helps ^^
Redvex
She has 48 energy.
Ajank3r
Hmmm, really shouldn't be a problem then.... Have you tried that build out running the same attributes on a pvp char in IotN?
That would be the next logical step in testing to find a bug ^^

Who knows how hero AI works, they sometimes "know" things that we don't. For instance, the will not cast enfeeble on a target who is already weakened. Maybe they don't use powerblock on a target skill if that foe doesn't have any more skills of that attribute in their bar? idk, just thinking out loud.

I did Gate of Pain HM last night with a Gwen hero using Power Block...she used it well as far as I could tell.
Redvex
Ok i make more tries

GWEN PB lol. Did you try it in HA? lol I tried PD in her. She's the best lol. She PDed spirit bond of the other monk and that monk cried lol.
I don't think the order of the skill is matter. As I know for programing, for each situation, all of the possible options are counted as a loop. If the condition is met, GWEN will trigger the skill. That mean GWEN need to go over 1000 options before she can decide which skill to use. But this way will make gaming impossible. So the best way for programing this is in RANDOM command.

Hah, did you seriously just say that a random command would be better for a hero's AI than a programmer actually writing an effective AI in?
I hope you realize that the guys who wrote all of this AI are knowledgeable enough to write more than a simple (in comparison) random usage generator where it would most likely just generate a value and she would use that skill?
For example, I know this isn't necessarily related to the topic, if Koss used sever artery and then did not follow it up with gash when there was no skill to interrupt how would the hero be effective at all?
Luckily for us, despite your/our/my underestimates of the resourcefulness that the programmers at Anet have SOMEHOW created an AI that we cannot understand with simple observation (not to a large extent at least).
Just one last quick comment before I set this topic aside for awhile. If such a simple solution to a complex problem such as AI competency existed, why was it not implemented in Prophecies and/or Factions?
