A quick and nooby question

Sorry, another nooby question.

There is an option in game to hide your headgear/helmet. But if I hide my helmet, will I still get the armor bonuses and special effects from it?

Yes, you still recieve the rune bonuses and armor bonus from your headpiece even if it is hidden with that option. However, a related topic is that when you equip a twohanded weapon and you have an offhand equipped as well you do NOT get the bonuses from the offhand even though it stays equipped.

press I and beside your headpiece you should see an icon that gives you the option to show in outposts, outside, or never. Same with your cape.
