Token Farming gone?

I tried making a new factions character and i can't get any of the Canthan New year quests... Surely this can't be fair... what about those new players who have just started Factions... they wont be able to do the quests ^_^

without testing this I have a feeling raptor farming gets about as many tokens per hour, plus all the shineys, and without the cloud hanging over your head regarding Anet's nebulous, murky possible exploit ban history

i have done 50 raptor runs. 25 in NM 25 in HM and I have not got one single event item as a drop. Other people are claiming they are getting tokens so I must have worse luck then I thought.

I do recall reading somewhere that it said event items will drop from monsters in GWP, GWF, GWNF, and no mention of GWEN. Most likely an unreliable source, but possibly GWEN was excluded?

GoK Farming or Halycon or Naga is Best Event Farm that I see. The Dragon Moss Farm was the Best but it got Nerfed. On HM the Dragon Moss drop only 3 items

Basically do your first 2 primary prof quests and see master togo
Then see all the trainers and do 3 or four of the first level 2ndary prof tasks (easy to do since they are all in the valley outside shing jea - I just start on right and work around in one run) and you got level 5. Fairly quick overall.

Do you have an estimated time? It sounds kinda long compared to a couple minutes.

some time could be shaved off by being careful which 2ndary quests to do so they don't require walking time (mesmer and ranger are bad for that). Maybe check which primary has the shortest initial 2 quests as well.
Got it down to less than 10 minutes

Soundsl ike GoK it is. Since mystic regen is nerfed, for me that would mean NM taking an axe wammo whirlwind + triple chop with judge's insight

So you can get 75 tokens in 27 minutes (my best time)....

10 mins was for getting to level 5 but you can get the first 100 tokens in about 20
I like to make elementalist (1st quest is close even though the quest involves a little walking and 2nd quest is just other side of tsumei village which will put it on your map for quick travel)
then after talking to togo and masters I do necro (be sure to take next quest for this one), sin, monk and war quest and hit level 5
Do fire in the sky and get tokens and take big bang - exchange tokens for fortunes, take hopeless romantic, and just your luck - open enough fortunes to get 2 fireworks
map to tsumei and do both big bang and hopeless romantic then pick up stuff for just your luck (you don't need to have talked to Gowron first for this and taking the 2nd necro quest gives you a couple extra allies plus the naga that spawn for that quest attack the naga boss that spawns for just your luck so fighting is fast and easy - if you are confident of ability or have some help you can also do knights who say nian at this time as they are close to the nong berry bush)
Map to shing jea and take reward for big bang run outside to gowron and take reward for just your luck
