You couldn't look at his name and copy his name??? Uhhhhh okay... But this is nothing new, last time I got pm'd by a gold spammer it was some random stuff with letters that looked close to each other. Nothing new.

Was my first characters name, about a week our two after the game came out. I'm seeing that name all over the place anymore, kind of makes me proud.

Wish they would remove the ability for trail accounts to pm messages unless the trail account is in the others friends list. That way legit people will be able to find their friends in the game and bots are back to farming only.
Hate to say this but never had this problem until the servers went open. Any chance we can roll back the servers so that I do not have to constantly put up with these?

all it would take is someone incompetent like the OP to report the real person.
obviously anet would check the logs before taking action, but they have been known to ban innocents.

I get dishonor because I'm the only one who reports the leecher on my team.
I get placed with someone with a nasty perverted name I don't want kids coming in the room and seeing, so I have to leave and I am the one who gets the dishonor, not the pervert.

I'm really tired of this one. Whole new year it kept popping up. Must have a desk full of trial accounts. First I put it on ignore, then filled that so I started reporting for bot and spam. Finally I just went into dragon arena and sat down.

That happen to me alot i mean alot. It happens in Towns and in Explored Areas while im farming or doing something it starting to piss me off dearly if i see one PM me again about selling Gold I swear ill report that person butt in instant. They are getting smart, but they dont know you can ban them instant you have there name in your Whisper channel.

I see your points with dishonor system I really sympathize. Those points don't. however, make /report wrong.

I /reported so many of these bot-spammers when I was on Saturday evening that I was worried I'd get temp-banned for "abusing" the /report system.
Fortunately, it didn't happen. I don't know the situation from aNet's perspective, but I figured I was properly using the system and that it's simple enough to report that I may as well keep it up and see if it helps aNet track what's going on and figure out how they feel they should deal with it.

All you have to do is click them and type /report and the screen should pop up with their name in it.

If i cant find em, i'll bring up the whisper window, then just copy the name, I hate it when they send me whispers, mostly because i get so excited someone's talking to me, then I realize its a stupid bot.
