Server Not Found

firefox can't find the server at www.army.mil

check the address for typing errors such as ww.exmple.com instead of www.example.com

if you are unable to load pages, check your computer network conection

if your computer or network is protected by a firewall ot proxy, make sure theat firefox is permited to access the web.

try again

i chack my conection, also checked for spellig erroes, and i do have a fire wall , setting low, i can acees all kinds of othere websites , just not this one.

Might be a DNS problem with your ISP, as I can open the site in Firefox. Try changing your DNS servers to these :-

http://www.opendns.com/

You have to register, but it's all free and you can change back to your ISP's DNS servers at anytime.

It could always be that the site was down for a bit, or some router along the way was buggered up.

I tried http://www.army.mil just now and I found it very, very slow. It's entirely possibly that the problem is on their end and not yours.

Also,

I do hope that Gwendolyn Star is the name of your GW character, otherwise you should edit your post before it comes back to haunt your wife's career.

You should never make assumptions like that in our modern, free-thinking society. A lot of women have wives, or alternatively husbands who happen to be women.

However, the OP's character name is in the OP's profile box

And that's totally 100% fine with me. Unfortunately, it's totally 100% not fine with the US military, who will promptly kick you out on your rump despite years of dedicated service and a distinguished career. Ergo, a wife with a wife in the army is best advised to not leave a "paper" trial to that effect on the internet.

Really? The US Military still discriminates?

Wow. I'm ...speechless.

'Fraid so. The relatively recent "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy is considered revolutionarily progressive for the US military, and Bill Clinton barely had the political capital to push it through. (He wanted to end discrimination entirely, but this is the best he could manage.)
It's quite ironic how our current leaders claim to be the vanguard of freedom in the world, and yet they push for the same sort of "morality enforcement" found in Iran.

Anywho, the point is moot since Gwendolyn is apparently a character name only, so SNIEVES's wife's career is safe.
