Items such as the Ele sword will always lose value. People rip themseleves off when they buy them for 100+xxx ecto. If you buy to keep, fair enough, but buying FoTM items for anything besides resell is a wate of good cash.

Like many said, trading is the best and maybe the fastest way.
Or you could try farming a hour per day and maybe you'll have your FoW in a month.

Then it means that you have got a bad farming place or/and you take too much time. Since you are a necro, and you want to farm, try *thinks* the Hydras in Skyward Reach or the Stone Hulkings outside Sardela, or the Mantids in Kinya Province. Depending on your luck and how fast you are, you should have around 20k/hour.

On two separate occasions I bought 250k worth of Zaishen keys and rage clicked them all with two guildmates watching to help carry anything if needed (or if I lagged out and couldn't reconnect) that's 500k worth of keys in total, and got absolutely nothing whatsover really, the gold items were nothing to write home about, I got a few elite tomes, the best thing I got was a Q.10 insc. gothic sword which I can't sell.

I just did it for something to do, and to find out whether or not it's actually worth the effort farming balthazar faction to use the keys, and it isn't really... conclusion... if you like Creme brulees, use the zaishen chest.

Most inscriptions dont sell for too much, maybe 1-2k max, and there are ways to check if the weapon has good mods on it. If you equip it, and your health goes up, you know it has a health mod, then it would be better to id, strip and sell, for other mods, you can go to battle isles to check.

Outside of a focus, shield, or sword mod, almost every mod is worthless. Keyword is almost... there are some exceptions.

i have a set on my necro, one on my mes, and the chest piece on my ranger.
i basically just bought some materials when i had some extra gold. uw/fow get excessively boring for me, so i didn't farm much. just sell stuff taking up space in your storage, buy a couple ectos here and there, and it'll add up pretty soon.

i farmed DoA for roughly 10 armbraces got the 600k+ 300 ecto from it and with that money started to buy low sell high on high end minipets.
