Post what you think are the top 3 skills in the game and why.

WoH (a staple of the current heal monks)
Res Signet (a staple of everybody)
and Attunements (fire, earth, air, or water, a staple of all eles)
edit: I disagree. Malicious Strike can be used in some gimmick builds. A/D scylers for example. It is not good, but it is far from terrible.

[skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill] - best PvE elite I have found, and useful in some forms of PvP
[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill] - farming builds rely on it, and good Monks take it even on a Healing build bar
[skill]Distracting Shot[/skill] - takes luck, but nothing feels better than hitting RoF with DShot.

Frenzied Defense is one one of those skills that can be the best skill in the game or the worst skill in the game depending on whether your opponent has a brain or not.
Buster
1. Word of Healing - since it got buffed alot it is now one of the most powerful healing spells in the game at 5e.
2. Ranger interrupts - distract, savage shot , concussion shot, how does one even cast ?
3. Spiteful Spirit - My personal favorite since day 1. Totally pwns in pve.

I'm surprised everyone mentioned Protective Spirit yet no one mentioned Spirit Bond. I think it's the most often used skill in my bar besides RC when I monk.
Anyway, I pick:
[skill]Spirit Bond[/skill]
[skill]Diversion[/skill]
[skill]Bull's Strike[/skill]
Edit
Oh... my choices above only applied to PvP, whoops.
For PvE, I pick...
[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill]
[skill]Rebirth[/skill]
[skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill]

As for the best skills in the game, I am probably going to have to go with:
[skill]Eviscerate[/skill] - Nerfed a few times, never buffed, and still probably the best warrior attack skill in the game.
[skill]Avatar of Melandru[/skill] - Obvious reasons
[skill]Reversal of Fortune[/skill] - Obvious reasons

Are we talking PvE or PvP? Imbalanced or fun to use?
Anyway, most imbalanced IMO:
[skill]Ursan Blessing[/skill]
[skill]Pain Inverter[/skill]
[skill]Signet of Illusions[/skill] (not in itself, but because it allows boosting already overpowered skills like Ebon Vanguard Assassin and Cry of Pain even more)

[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill]
This is the best skill in the game, and I'm not going to explain why. If it were possible for all 8 people in every build to have this skill on their bar, it would happen... obviously it's not, and of course most players are too bad to know how to not put two copies on the same person, but that does not change the fact that it's the best skill in the game.
[skill]gale[/skill]
At three second KD and five energy, it was ridiculously unfair and amazingly godly in every sense of the terms. At two second KD and ten energy, it's still one of the best skills in the game.
[skill]Eviscerate[/skill]
I would probably guess that this skill has generated more PvP deaths than any other skill in the game, and a player who has it equipped and knows how to use it is most likely the most dangerous player on your team.

I'm a retired PvP player - primarily monk player.
I'll have to go with:
1. Protection spirit. Anti-spike and overall the best damage reduction skill.
2. Light of Deliverance. Best party healing skill.
3. Infuse health. Must use skill.
Hall of fame, i.e. other skills deserving a mention:
Reversal of Fortune. When you need that extra second for a recharge.
Diversion. Nothing is worse than diverting a primary healing skill.
Distraction Shot. Same as above.
Searing Flames. Just great damage.
Glyph of lesser energy. Great energy management.
The Necromancer hex, which makes one lose 100ish life, everytime one uses a skill on a player with lower HP. Incredibly awesome damage.
