Hey, I recently had a thread about "Out Of Memory" errors. I read on other forums that in the "OpenGL" section of the graphic controller options, set ur Display Memory Footprint to high instead of normal. I did that, but soon after I started getting another error.

"The ialmrnt5 display driver has stopped working normally.

The error has more stuff written but thts the first line.
I went back to the OpenGL and I clicked on restore default settings but that still didnt solve my problem. While playing, my computer either gets the error and my graphics go all screwed or my computer just randomly reboots.

PLZ HELP!

PS: System Specs attached.

Reset any changes made.

Part of your problem is you're using integrated on-board graphics. If at all possible, get an ATI or nvidia graphics card.

I did reset any changes I made, I went to "OpenGL" and I clicked on "restore default settings".

I'm thinking about getting a new card.

KFA2 GeForce 6200A Video Card - 256MB DDR, PCI, DVI, VGA, TV Out, Video Card

Since I dont have PCI-E or AGP slots, I have PCI slots which means only PCI cards

So will that card fix my problems? Is it compatible with GW?

Yes, that card is compatible. I can't for sure say how good a PCI card will run GW though as I've never tried it, but it is compatible.

Alright, I'll be getting that or another, but I'll check on Guru if the card is good enough.

my geforce fx5500 256mb PCI is compatible with GW, and runs decently well if you turn down the settings. i'd imagine the 6200 will work too.

i personally think there's something wrong with your memory. the only way to fix that is to isolate the broken ram stick and replace it. or replace all of them.

If you only have a PCI slot, don't bother. Save your money and get a whole new computer.

LOL, awsome idea. i'm 13. Not a very strong case from my side?

I emailed PlayNC and GW to ask if the card im looking at is going to be compatible with gw, they said it will be, so im just gonna go ahead..but the card is only 70$, but anyone know about the drive? the ialmrnt5 driver.

Question: Is this the original RAM or have you recently upgraded it?

If your parents dont know anything about computers, convince them you need a new one, I'm 14, and that's the reason they're buying a new mobo+processor for me XD. Also, im gonna use the parts from my current pc for their current pc, cuz mine isn't that old, but just too old to game with. But try that, it could work if they don't know anything about computers, and if you talk about mixed up BIOS settigs and stuff. They might just do it so you won't find out they have no idea what you're saying (slim chance though)

Try googling ialmrnt5 - it's been a common problem for years. It seems to be related to integrated Intel graphics and the usual quoted solution is "update drivers."

I have the latest drivers. Its something with the physical memory. It is really annoying, I just start to play...and Boom...it reboots or goes to the BSOD.

integrated graphics use system ram. if there's something wrong with the "graphics memory", it means there's something wrong with your ram.

Well, on other posts, I read that integrated Intel Graphics have limited DxBuffer which could highly be a reason for all of these errors..

Also, I recently got new 1 gig..soo...
