I use the GM4200 mouse, it may feel weird at first, but it's really a piece of old-school magic. For the mousepad i use Madmouse, really suits the mouse well .

I could be wrong, but I don't think the OP wants to know about mousemats/mousepads.

When he/she says "game pad" and "replace..keyboard" it looks to me as if they want something to replace a regular keyboard, for gaming.

I use to play with a logitec media play mouse. Not really a gaming mouse but works well for gaming I had 1 till I spilled soda on it.
