Is it worth starting again?

Hi,
I have Prophicies already (I did have both Prop and factions) Im wondering if its worth buying Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North? I dont wanna buy them all then i cant get far enough before GW2 surfaces.
I did really enjoy the games when i had them just dont wanna waste money really.
Thanks in advance

gw2 projected at the moment beta testing isnt until the 4th quarter of this year----thats october to december...
you can certainly play quite a few hours before october????
yes you have plenty of time to play, and after gw2 comes out, gw1 will still be around if you want to come and play it some more.

Yup, its worth playing again, although the beta of GW2 will be out this year. GW1 has been getting many updates, so the game is a bit different that you've played. ^^

Yes you have time to play alot of time, if you already played then you already learned the basics.

I was in the same situation as you in about November; I stopped playing for a year and got interested in it again. I had Prophecies and Factions on my account, so I jumped on and just played those for a bit. I suggest that's what you do first, just check out the game. My old guild had moved on, so I spent a bit of time in the arenas which was quite fun, and I could still get up some good winning streaks :-). I found PvE play lacking since I had previously completed all the content (I only play the one character). I got Eye of the North for some new PvE play and really enjoyed it, so I got Nightfall too. I've given it a rest for the past couple of weeks, but it's great to have it there so I can just play casually.
If you enjoyed the game previously then you will still enjoy the game now. If you don't want to buy any more campaigns you can still PvP as well as redo PvE areas (or try the new hard mode). If you're able to spend a bit then I recommend getting Eye of the North for some fresh content!

I would say get NF/GWEN. I played a whammo when GW first started but I quit after 2 weeks because I got really bored with the game. (I got max armor, ran to Droks, and had a HORRIBLE skillbar.) I never did finish the story past the Maguuma area. I came back recently last November, deleted my old guys and began redoing the game. I have a level 19 W/E in the Sanctum area and I have a level 20 Paragon in NF with 60-70% of the story complete. I like getting the best of both worlds.
So yeah, it's worth it. I would say go with GWEN if you're really cheap since that stuff will carry over into GW2.

Nightfall is amazing, best chapter in my opinion.
GWEN is good, especially if your're looking to carry "something" of your account over to GW2.

Plenty of time before GW2 comes out. Most of us aren't even bothering to get excited over it yet...
