Well, the price check guide doesn't get updated that often any more because prices change so fast it is just hard to keep up.

I would say if 4 different people gave a price of 12k then that is probably what you are going to pay, or be prepared to spend some time finding it cheaper. Because there will almost always be someone willing to sell it cheaper if you have enough patients to wait it out.

Hope that helped a little,

The price lists are usually behind the times. For any weapon, upgrade, rune, etc. it depends on the market.

Any item is worth what someone is willing to pay. If you only want to pay 5k, then keep looking. If you want it now, then pay the asking price.

Timing can make a difference too. When there are a lot of sellers on, prices tend to be lower because of increased competition and supply. If you are trying to buy when not many people are on, the seller can ask for more because of less competition and higher demand vs. supply.

Just did a price check on a french selling site. its worth between 5 and 7.5 k for a 20% one

A 19% one will cost you between 1 to 1,5 k

12K is way to high. 5-8K is the going rate. The people asking 12K are "pro" traders trying to hold the market high. Patience is your friend. Get a 19% for now and keep your eye on the market for a good price on the 20%

/BTW don't try and argue with the overpriced sellers, they will not take offers and just call you names like the annoying ten year old children they are.

I agree that 12k is to high. 5-8k is a suitable price.
All about supply and demand.

Keep in mind the law of supply and demand, if your online at a time when few people are selling the item its price will be what the sellers demand. If you log on and a dozen people are selling the same item then the buyers have more control of what is a fair price.

This applies to most items but some few will retain there value no mater how many people are selling/buying them.

Also, never, ever post a message in chat saying that you "Want to buy". That automatically drives the price to what the "pros" are selling for or even more. You'll get a better deal just standing around quietly until you see someone selling. Most sellers expect you to bargain so offer a price thats somewhat lower than what you're willing to pay. Usually, you'll meet the seller somewhere in the middle. Keep in mind not to insult the seller by offering a price thats ridiculously low. Use common sense and who knows, you might just find a bargain. Enjoy yourself, trading can be fun.

If they have any sense, then it means they probably have more than one 20% grip and have been getting 12k each all day long.

Someone above said that patience is your friend. That goes both ways. They wouldn't be asking those prices if they weren't finding buyers. They usually have an inventory full of stuff they bought cheap and are waiting to sell at higher prices. It's pretty basic economics. If they buy 5 of the grips at 5k and are able to sell them for 12k, they've made 35k pretty easily, since sitting in town and selling stuff is how they enjoy the game.

You can always try to negotiate a price. Just don't tell them, "well Guru says it's worth this much." They hate that. lol (I'm married to one of these nuts. )
