do r7/r8 shields still drop in Tyria?

I know that dual negative damage stats on a sheild is nerfed from Tyria. However - are req 7 and req 8 max/gold sheilds from Tyria nerfed as well? I know hardly anyone farms tyria anymore (for rares at least) - but are these really gone, or are they just not popping up because no one's farming them anymore?

r8 still drops, r7 don't.

Nah, but r7 15al shields do drop, and 1 point off isn't that big of a deal.

But if you're going for perfection.....then r8 16 would be like....a must have.

imho r7 do still drop.

I've gotten r8, AL16 shields w/ some regularity, but most were white, and oddly enough, found in factions. A r7, well, I've gotten 1 r7 AL15, but otherwise they're either like r10 AL16 or r8 AL14...

on the contrary I dont know about sheilds.But weapons do. Of course theres those that will say they dont drop anymore so that people will forget about them and not go looking for them

Req 8 Shields Tryian still drop but Req 7 dont anymore. Only Req 7 shields drop are non max ones. Some non max req 7 Shields will be dual modded. Iv gotten a Req 6-7, 14 armor dual dmg mod Shield off the Treebranch monsters on the old Ettin Rune Farming

And yet wheres the proof that anet said they removed them there isnt. So whats your point again. If it wasnt for Retarded flamers the thread on where to look for them woudnt have been closed and would have had more people actually looking for them. More people looking means a higher chance for them to be found.

1000's have been looking for them and have never posted a single screen shot of a recent drop.

That is proof enough that they are nolonger droping.

Unless you can post and UNEDITED screen shot with a true R7 weapon that has dropped since GWEN came out, showing some GWEN heros in the party would demonstrate date proof or a BMP weapon.

If you do not have proof stop posting your fantasy dreams and wishes.

I strongly believe they don't drop anymore based on the supply and demand concept as seen in the high end forum. I own quite a few req 7 items and buy them as often as I can yet with each passing month fewer and fewer are for sale along with those for sale are ones just being passed around since I know quite a few of the other collectors. I can't state this as 100% fact they don't drop anymore but its a pretty good observation that suggests they do not drop anymore.

req 8 definitely drop
as far as i know, in tyria, shields with odd double mods can still drop (-2-2, -2-3, etc)

Hmm - thanks for the info gang - here's a thought that just popped into my head. With all the bergen farming and Sephis drops, I haven't heard or seen a q8 drop from there "since" factions days - and of course sephis drop all the time and then some. Obviously they used to drop pre-factions and teh q8 15^50's are still worth some big coin where the q9's are pennies. Maybe that does add more proof that they are gone.
I dunno...just more evidence I guess, not concrete though....

Yeap and if there not looking in the right spots they will never find them. Kinda like looking for the needle in a haysack by the barn while your still in the middle of the cornfield.

I have no idea what those screen shots are suppose to prove I can do the same thing with any of my req 7 and dual dmg reduction shields...
