Pets hmm. Rainbow pheonix is pretty cool. I like the polar bear. I like the alligator. I would like to see some kind of Beastly dragon that swoops down and breathes fire from the heavens as a pet in the future(kidding that would be to cool for gw's). The flamingo is pretty sweet to

Frankly, while I definitely encourage everyone to play through Prophecies at least once, if this is your 2nd or later character your creating, and if you have any of the other campaigns, you may want to start out there. Prophecies has the slowest progression of all the games, and as such you may feel like it's yet another grind. I think factions has an excellent selection of ranger skills and pets. I would suggest you visit one of the guild wars wikis and check out broad head arrow, royal phoenix, and black moa.

Funnily enough, when I tried to buy factions last weekend, it was rated mature. On the box IT WAS DEFINATELY T for Teenager. But when the guy scanned it, the thing showed up as Mature... so he asks for my identity, and I'm like WTF?
Want me to try again at another place?
I don't let my parents know I buy games like this

Likely there's an error in their system, perhaps if you point out that the box shows it's (officially) rated as 'Teen' they'll take a second look. It's in their own interest to sell stuff.
Anyways, play Prophecies if you like it and experiment with the skills your character gets and get a bit of practice in the most important ranger tasks, like interrupting.

yea, seriously, it's T. Point it out. If he's still a dork, ask for a manager. But if you go for a pet in prophecies, I suggest either the pig or lizard. pig you can pick up in kryta, lizard isn't untill desert. Right now I have mountain eagle from gwen. It's nice, but I'm swappin for a black moa once it hits 20. it'll go nicely with my black moa chick.

Go back to the store and try to get Nightfall instead...just My opinion but Nightfall> Factions (Heroes FTW)....plus you may get lucky and not have the same ESRB rating problem. If that store can't get it right, another store might do the trick also.
