Black Dye Drops

If you've ever obtained a Black Dye by means of an enemy or monster dropping it, what kind of enemy was it?

I can name an Ice Imp from Frozen Forest in Prophecies.

Earth elemental

Destroyer or...something.

I have gotten a few black dye drops from charr and grawl in pre-searing.

What some people not getting enough black dyes now? lol Im sure some others will jump in and say they no longer drop so dont bother looking for them.

OT anyways Black dyes can drop from any thing. Though its a toss up for me between raptor nestlings and Charr.

Dropped off of a Charr in post, right after I saw the obscenely high prices. I was ecstatic!

iv gotten Black Dye from Elementals near Ascalon and Jade Assassin in Halycon Farming, Naga and Knapps on noob island of Factions.

From my luck, I seem to only get black dye's to drop anywhere in Tyria, i've spent a lot of time around elona, and have only gotten 1, and that was in hm.

lol, I seem to get the bulk of mine from earth elementals. However, the ranger boss outside shing jea in the mountains dropped one while i was doing canthan new year quests. made me happy.

It was either an earth elemental or a devourer outside Ascalon in post. I don't remember any of my other black dye drops but I saw a centaur in the northern shiverpeaks drop one for someone else.

Black dyes don't drop anymore.

Black dyes have dropped for me from countless mobs over the last couple years of playing. It's probably easier to get them in hardmode and I seem to have the best luck off undead outside bergen I've gotten two from them in the last couple days.

Had a couple drop for me in UW & FoW, 1 a couple weeks ago off charr in post-searing, one from farming trolls outside droks, and I've had one drop in Nightfall for my Dervish, though I can't remember where. I just remember it dropped right after I bought my Primeval armor.

3 dyes, 3 years.

First was in the UW with an 8 Ranger trap group, remember those?

Second was in pre in the catacombs. I remember this woman in the guild had just returned and said "Did you guys miss me?", just before I finnished typing "I LOVE YOU AND ALL YOUR BLACKNESS!"

That was good for a laugh, she didn't know what to think of it.
(Yeah I said a buncha strange things in that guild. It didn't seem fitting to just go BLACK DYE!)

Last time was durring vanquishing in Ascalon areas.

I know for sure I've gotten two from desert gryphon farming (pre-Kephket), one from hydra and one from one of the devourers. I've also gotten at least two in GW:EN dungeons.

But as said before, and as is obvious from above, they drop anywhere, so anything farmable will drop them fairly frequently.

I've gotten one from an ettin and another from a devourer in ascalon.

Raptors in the Raptor Cave, Char in the Great Northern Wall Mission, and countless others.

dyes are my speciality....I get them on average one a day....in the past few months I have been also getting black dyes....got one from a beserking minotaur in eye a few days ago. I get black about once a month now, white is more rare for me, only dropping about once every 2 or 3 months.
I think they should make a dye storage tab in our storage, right now I give all my dye to my husband to hold in his storage.

Most memorably a level 1 mantid from right outside Shing Jea. Other than that, maybe once or twice from enemies in Gates of Kryta.
