Easter / St Patricks Day were both events in the sense that special items dropped for them last year.

If you're expecting a big event with decorations and stuff, I'd say Dragon Festival.

But are we going to have that? The first one was a celebration + introduction to Nightfall with the invasion of some Evil forces + introduction of Ruins of Tomb of the Primeval Kings. Then the second one was a celebration for successfully driving away the evil forces last year. What would the theme of this year be? A repeat of last year, with people dressing as some grasping darkness and stuff, with Demon Mask again?

I doubt it. But I guess we'll see.

The dragon festival marks the anniversary of Shing Jea's settlement and Kaineng City's expansion to accomodate those that were hit by the Jade Wind. The festival has been running long before this.

Probably St Pattys Drops on the weekend of the 14, and Easter ones on the following.

Easter is in March this year, which leaves April-July kinda dry *g*

An event in May would be really nice considering the Fall Semester ends for me then and my birthday is that month. I can only dream, though. :P

Oh I'm aware of that. I just tried to describe what ACTUALLY HAPPENED in the game (i.e. the first time around we ended up fighting hordes of evil from start to finish, including the finale, and not much else). And as you can see, first time we fought the evil, second time we celebrated the fact that we won over the evil last year (by pretending to fight them again).

So what would it be this year? Repeating the first one (with dragon mask) would be kinda...you know...out of place, as the "Nightfall" has long gone. Repeating the second one would make more sense, but still, how many time do you want to celebrate the fact that we won over the evil in this festival that one year?

I hope we'd get the REAL Dragon Festival (in which we actually celebrate "the anniversary of Shing Jea's settlement and Kaineng City's expansion to accomodate those that were hit by the Jade Wind" and not fighting evils in Rujiyo's missions). But, it's very unlikely.

And before Anet gets any idea, removing Rujiyo's missions and evil-related quests would leave Dragon Festival with just Broadwalk games + Dragon arena + Decorations and nothing else...

The next decorations would be the birthday event in April it looks like. Other than that, unless they decide to do Cinco De Mayo in Rata Sum, looks like there won't be anything until Dragon Festival.

And on that note, it would be fun if they made Dragon Festival '08 just a simple holiday about dragons and Shing Jea, nothing about grasps or Nightfall. And then at the end Primordious shows up.

You can throw in a couple of random openings of the Boardwalk during the year sometime. I don't know if that counts as an event, but it does draw a lot of people.

I'm sure they will think of something.
Maybe like, some Norn will come down and explore Cantha or some other GW:EN tie in.
